q. if a statue of a carlton player was awarded who would it be ??

I have two thoughts;

1. Jezza's (the statue would be of that mark)

2. or Big Nick against Polly Farmer in the ruck (based on the famous photo). the cats would probably support that one too

I was walking around the MCG with Papa MEB today and we were discussing why Jezza's mark wasn't immortalized in statue form yet...there is a giant picture of him on the outside of the building though.

I have absolutely no issue with the statue of Stynes. I know you can say that there's 100+ 'better' players, but he was quite a decorated player...first (and only) Irishman to win a Brownlow, Hall of Famer, Team of the Century player...

He came to more than a few VicKick sessions that I was a part of when I was little and as I got older he came to my school to talk about mental health.

The other AFL player who I had a lot of exposure to when I was little was Garry Lyon.
