Just read Mick Malthouse's All-Australian review where he says that he leans towards "Oh my God they've killed" Kenny McGregor as All-Aussie CHB.

Thoughts on whether this would actually happen?

It probably won't, but Kenny has been as good as any CHB in the AFL this year and is still improving.

At 22 years of age , he has now played 94 AFL games, the last 37 at CHB.

I never rated Kenny ever as a forward, but since he's gone back the last 2 years, has developed into one of the most reliable CHB's in the game.

As I've said many times, the AFC see him as a 10 year CHB for them.

As for the Port supporters who bagged him at the beginning of the year, and rated Morgan and Thurstans ahead of him, if they still think that, well ........... there's none so blind as those who cannot see.

IF the AA side was actually picked on positions I think Kenny has a fair claim for a spot. However we all know that Pavlich who has played majority of his footy in midfield this year will be AA CHB.

Going on this season McGregor has been in the top 3 permanent CHBs this year. ;)

McGregor to finish second behind Ricciuto in the Malcolm Blight Medal.

Not at this stage but I would say that Thurstans has greater potential than our Kenny. Still Thurstans has to prove himslef by becoming a regular CHB for the Power and I reckon he will be one next year.

That dreaded word 'potential" Stiffy.

Thurstans. 23 years of age. 5 years on an AFL list. 10 games. Average disposals 6.4 per game.

You are joking, aren't you Stiffy??

According to Micky Malthouse, we'll end up with 3 All Aussies :

Roo
Kenny
Stiffy

A pretty unlikely trifecta !

Re All-Australian hopes...

I'd advise everyone to hop on the various club sites via afl.com.au...

In the player profiles every man's stats for every game they've played this season are posted for those that don't know already...

I must say Chris Judd's games blew me away as I didn't think he'd stacked on that many touches and goals - and well, Stiffy's stats tell the story of his ability at the moment... sensational in fits and bursts but still has a long way to go in terms of consistency.

There is no question that Kenny is better at this stage but I would not be surprised if Thurstans overtakes Kenny in a few years time. Toby is more athletic than Kenny and more vesatile. McGregor is best suited to CHB while Toby is equally effective as a FB or a CHB. Toby can also play in the ruck due to his athletisism.

Then again Toby may never recover from OP.

RE: All-Australian

Ricciuto is a dead set certainty. Edwards deserves it but he wil be overlooked as always. One of the most underrated footballers going around.

Johncock is too inconsistent and Kenny is not classy enough. We all know that AA side is not picked purely on position.

....or performance.

Reputation goes a long way towards getting selected too.
