Laird should be in the SANFL, a proper coach wouldn't have both in the same team.

Soligo/Rankine/Cook should be taking Lairds midfield minutes.

But unfortunately Nicks has s**t for brains.

Soligo basically plays all mid, Rankine’s mid mix is about right IMO. We still want him to play some forward time.

Rachele is the one to go in the middle, Cook is sort of finding his feet on the wing, give him a bit more time to see if that’s his position or not.

If we don't see him in our future once Murrays back, I'd expect he'd have some decent currency with the dearth of Kpds in the league at the moment.

If Butts form holds up, play him and Murray in KP posts and move Keane to an attacking/intercept role/3rd man up. He has the offensive weapons to be very effect.

Nicks is so stubborn.

Starts every game with a terrible gameplan or no tags on dangerous players.

Slowly, as the game goes on and we lose by more and more, he releases the shackles on our negative game plan and we look better.

Then we get close or hit the lead and we revert back to the original gameplan.

We started pretty attacking.

The early game was an up and down game.

Without Pendlebury we could have been a few goals up.


First half second quarter our negative play started, Collingwood kick 6 straight.


Opened game back up, and we started generating i50s poor forward play hurting us. Then some efficiency uo forward got us back into it.

I am not suggesting Nicks is a mastermind, but that has been the pattern of the play.
