... is the abbreviation of the 101st element - Mendelevium.

The first element to be synthesized and discovered one atom at a time. Not occuring in nature, it was discovered in 1955 as a product resulting from helium-ion bombardment of a minute quantity.

Funny that, was thinking the exact same thing.

****! I was going with 257. I owe you a dollar Ozzult.

Alright Dan, this thread proves you have the time and wherewithal to find out how I can look at the Vulcan & Klingon home worlds with my telescope. Get crackin'.

Another giant leap for mankind

After many beers and a few punches thrown the lads at the pub reckon it's 40 Eridani as the location of the Vulcan homeworld.

I was going to bring up the topic of the Klingons home planet but the nude girls were coming back out for another performance.

Some people have no idea about what is truly important in life.

When this bikie had me in a head lock he was yelling "40 Eridani is a trinary system and it's sometimes known as Omicron 2 Eridani".. he then released his vice like grip and told me to leave. As I was walking out he was pointing at me and yelled "It's in the constellation of Eridanus and don't you f***ing forget it!"

There are 118 elements in the periodic table. I've just discovered the 119th. It is a member of the noble gases family, and it's called hotairspoutingforthium. It is known to come from only one location in the entire universe, the tongue of a mummy's boy from Victoria, Australia. It it radioactive, and energy from this element oozes out of the subjects mouth (while speaking) and fingers (while typing). As a scientist, I suggest avoiding this individual for your own safety, until further tests can be carried out.

The discovery of Md was compromised IMO. It was discovered by a father/son combination, which was only enabled through the father having worked 100 months for that particular firm. A totally unfair situation for all the other scientific firms, every firm should have had the opportunity to employ him.

A few years on Kronos would be most interesting.

Heh that'd explain it.. I never got that myself.. though I've often harboured a strong desire to take a batlet to someone :p

All aboard!

Is there any naturally-occurring Neptunium, or is Uranium as far as it goes among natural elements?

Kronos would be interesting if you were well armored, or had dimplomatic immunity as a UN inspector or something. We'll just have to drop you off though. For my money, I want to take a shot at melting the ice on a hot Vulcan chick. If not, then just catch one in the midst of her seven year heat cycle.

A fine choice, but when it comes to heat cycles there's only one place I'd want to be during one.. the Astrometrics lab on Voyager.. There's a project in human reintegration there that one'd be mad to pass up a chance to take a hands on role in ;)

hehehe not bad eagle but after End Game it's stocks fell a bit... there's something a bit embarassing about being able to be pasted by Voyager :p
I'll take this puppy any day :D
