Thats why I've chosen not to reply to my own thread.

Thought I'd let it die after last night.

Regardless of who,what , where, when they left Freo has let go of too many quality players (most of the time in stupid trades for 'stars').

Last night we saw what happens when you develop from within. Hopefully we have learnt our lesson.

Yea we have stuffed up on some trades and team decisions. But we need to learn hopefully and move on, Freo is a lightning rod for trolling.

So are we going to sticky this? So we can invite the trolls and increase the negativity in this forum everytime he plays a good game?

That's a bit unreasonable. All the posts from Collingwood supporters appear to be either praising Medhurst as a player (without any particular gloating, it seems to me) or admiring the generous attitude of your supporters towards him.

We mostly troll ourselves, it must be said.

What part is unreasonable ?

He is not a Freo player anymore and if you pies want to wank over him go do it on your board and not ours.

These type of threads only act as a lightning rod for trolls to vent their frustrations on Freo.

I still love Medders - my absolute favourite player from any other club.

When he got to 6 goals, every time Collingwood were going forward i was yelling - kick it to Medhurst!

I was hoping he'd kick 8 goals - I still want those 9 he kicked for us against Brisbane to be his best game haul.

What a shame Connolly didn't give him one more game for Freo. I was calling it back in '06 - it would have been good for him to play 100 and give us access to any hairy little mini-monkey-boys he may produce in the future.

I still think his goal celebration when he kicked the winning goal in that second derby in 2003 was one of the best ever by a Freo player.

Such mismanagement - remember the tree trunk legs? Such a shame.

Will never hold any bad feelings towards Medhurst - he wanted to stay and had to be convinced to leave. Any good that comes from it is thoroughly deserved on his part.


(i also think you're right FreoShark. We don't really need to revisit this every time he plays well. Which I'm guessing will be often this season at least...)
