Would be interesting to gauge the thoughts on Melbourne's loss tonite, and what it ultimately means for us, aka where will Kruezer end up.

I wish Essendon lost a game that they should have won. Due to umpiring would make it even better.

Hopefully on Hird's last home and away game at the G Round 21. That would be sweeeeeet. ;)

two goals in the last 30 secs, or something like that, maybe a 50m that Hird gives away.

Anyway, putting aside that they were playing the Bombers, who was barracking for the Dees tonite.

Agreed, i was hoping all the way, watching on tv, then i was stupid enough to check afl.com.au and see the scores, i was quietly upset.

If Melbourne can't win it for their coach's last game after 10 years then they will struggle all year.

Richmond will not win the spoon. We are a better team than the Dees.

Welcome the 2nd best player of the draft!

I was more pissed off because Essendon won another nailbiter!! how much luck have they had in close games this year....i'm getting angry:D:D

They just learnt from last year when they kept losing the close ones.

what would the club do if we did finish 15th ane melbourne picked up kruezer with their #1 pick??
would we go for the 2nd best player in the draft ie cotchin, or would we go to the next best tall and get him.
personally i wouldnt mind if we got cotchin. by the sounds of it he is awesome so i wouldnt be to unhappy with it.

Yeah but who were their best players apart from Laycock? The same old, same old. Hird, Fletcher, Lloyd, Lucas.
They're winning the close ones and may even sneak into the eight, but it won't do them any good in the long run. Welcome to our world Bummers.

From what ive seen and heard of cotchin, he seems like a decent young player that has every chance of in the end becoming a better footballed than kreuzer, I would love the kid on the tigers, IMO there isnt too much difference between the two kids, except kreuzer has the height.

melbourne are gone

bell ripped his hamstring and neitz knee is stuffed they will be lucky to win 2 games

I am happy with either Kruzer or Crotchin. Unlike most i still have faith that patto can infact turn into a half deccent ruckman. I think most clubs would be preety stoaked to have a big man in their 3rd year performing at patto's level. I still think its important that we pick up a ruckman this draft as it seems Gus is as good as gone, but am confident that one day patto will be able to cut it with the best at afl level.

Cotchin was utterly useless today against WA - got pretty much flogged by their 3rd best midfielder (McGinnity) and was the definition of soft...went missing and did nothing about it. Could have ran himself into the game (as Kreuzer had to) but apparently couldn't be bothered. On today's performance he doesn't look like the type of onballer we need.

Palmer and Masten are both head and shoulders above him based on today's performance - I'd take half a dozen of WA's players ahead of him based on today's performance.

Kreuzer was well beaten in the ruck by Naitanui - who isn't even eligible for the draft until next year. He's a very good athlete, fought hard, was good around the ground and beat the other WA talls in the ruck and in the air, but big question marks on him being worth the no.1 pick as a ruckman IMO if an underage player can have the better of him comfortably in the ruck.

Cale Morton was fantastic - imagine an 18yo kid who is 192cm, can hit targets from 50+ on the chest 9/10 times, oozes class, always has time and could play almost anywhere on the ground. He may not go top-5, but damn he was impressive.

Cotchin was very poor today, Kreuzer was beaten by Natanui in the ruck, by Kreuzer has something thats really interesting- he moves like a ruck rover, plays in the ruck and can kick goals from Full Forward. Cale Morton was sensational today he was a top 3 pick before today, he clearly moved ahead of Cotchin for mine. If we get either Kreuzer or Morton we would have done very well.

By the way Melbourne play Carlton next week, so someones draft prospects are going to be seriously dented for one of the two teams.

I watched the first half of the Vic Metro vs WA game yesterday and thought Kruezer was pretty good. Cotchin was quiet, but did some nice things. Didn't watch closely though.
