Given that according to the membership department's current figures that we are 15% down on last year what will be our final total? My guess is 26,200. The only "if or but" is winning V Richmond = 27,500. Every additional win add 500. Also our merchandise sales are the worst for a decade.

WIN WIN WIN AND THEN MORE:eek:

This is why is more important then ever we begin to show some improvement on the playing arena. Hawthorn went through a down period in the mid to late 90s amd then had some brief success in the early 2000s but are now languishing once more.

We can't expect members to keep coming back year after year and witness some of the garbage dished up to them in 2004 and 2005. I know in my own situation I felt so flat walking away from Football Park after being belted by Port by 20 goals.

Being a Hawk fan in Adelaide is not a lot of fun, We just get belted time after time and it's hard to keep fronting to watch that. And before anyone mentions the finals in 2001 against Port, just remember that was 5 years ago. FIVE YEARS!!! We have done nothing since.

I can always take a loss if the guys had a red hot go, but there are too many times they just surrender meekly without a yelp. This is unacceptable. 2006 MUST be the year the Hawks turn the culture into a winning one otherwise the membership will continue to decline.

Get out! You're a Hawk fan living in Adelaide?

On the membership, I don't think it was a great idea for the club/AFL to fixture only 7 home games in Melbourne, 5 at the MCG when the club is struggling as it will not inspire fans to sign up.

I might buy one if we make the final but only if we lose by less than 5 goals

Paid up and eveything before christmas.. like in the 1st week of december, and still waiting for it to come. Rang the club to ask, and they said it will be here in the next few weeks.
They also mention we had more that 13,000 members.. this was few days ago.

I had a call from Peter Hayes, membership dept, a couple of weeks back. He explained that renewals received in the mail, e-mail etc, are processed in batches which can take a considerable amount of time. I would say yours is not far away, Hodgie15.

Do we still get scarves?
Yes.

Has NOTHING to do with onfield success (or lack of) and everything to do with 5 home games at the G this year.
Been done!!

You too!:p The first year they were brought in(2 years ago?), i nominated 11 years and got that loyalty scarf. Last year the club checked and caught up with me and i ended up with a 9 year scarf! I'm going backwards:D

I've just gotten back from Glenferrie, I wasn't going to trust the mail-out afer hearing some of the horror stories from around here. Wanted a 16 gamer but they weren't available obviously,as we only have 13 Melbourne games.
The package looked a bit cheap this year IMO. The keyring and stickers have been better, and the scarf, whilst it has never been top-shelf, is pretty plain this year. Am on number 6, would have been 30 if I hadn't missed the one solitary year, 6 years ago when O/S.
All the removalists were there going flat-out for the big shift tomorrow.
