did a bit of spring cleaning the other day and i have stumbled accros my mums junior St Kilda membership card from the premiership year of 1966. its quite dinky made of canvas and cardboard and hole punched the numbers of the rounds she went to. not that i wish you offload it (sentimental value, plus i do quite like the saints despite being a carlton supporter...) but do you guys think this would hold any value in years to come?

Wow, good find.

The best person to contact would be Rick Milne (link). He's the guy you often hear on the radio who does valuations of sporting memorabilia.

Another option would be to contact Georgie Day at the clubs heritage museum at Moorabbin.

I remember those. From memory, the cost was 10 shillings which is $1.

I am a big collector of footy cards, records, badges, posters, members tickets, Weg posters etc for the sole reason of collecting. If I sold everything I would own my house and could by a new car etc.

Personally I would either keep it or put on loan to either the St Kilda FC (if they have a museum / display section) or try the MCG Museum if they wanted to put it on display. Once you have off-loaded something like that you may regret it later! St Kilda collectibles are worth a bit especially anything from 1966, if you hold it for another year to think about what to do, it would have gone up in value - it wont depreciate in value.
