Membership question?

Hey guys...

...bad timing I know, don't really expect a reply tonight! (Good luck btw )

My GF is a Melbourne member, will be coming over to watch the Doggies game (rd. 7) with her family...
...2 of them are members, 2 are not.

They want seats, but to book seats now she has to 'upgrade' the 2 memberships and buy 2 other tix in the Pontsford or Olympic stands. (Which she's more than happy to do.)

My question is tho, is the Southern Stand effectively general admit on the night? (Not like it's going to be full! )
If so, i) Can you then sit where you like?...and ii) Can the non-members buy tix to enter that section as well?

Would love some help here so we can organise this thing.

I don't live in melbourne and very rarely get to the G, but I will be going to this game.

I'm a member and as far as I'm aware, with the membership you can sit anywhere???

You can't sit anywhere. Obviously you can't sit in MCC section. There is AFL reserved seating on the wings at ground level. And Melbourne reserved seating on the 2nd level Punt Rd end. Your membership cost more if you wanna sit there.

I have the standard membership (red legs) I just sit on the 3rd level behind goals at Punt Rd. Anyone can sit there. Member or not.

Wowlace, if your a redlegs member, then you should be able to sit level 2 behind the goals punt rd end coz thats where i sit. Maybe im just getting away with it though

I think you're getting away with it man. Fairly certain you have to pay extra to reserve those seats.
