I AM SICK AND ********ING TIRED OF PAYING BOOKING FEES AND HANDLING CHARGES AND OTHER BULL******** WHEN HAVE A MEMBERSHIP.

$11 will guarantee me a place this weekend. Why, I have already paid to go to the game. I PAID WHEN I BROUGHT MY ********ING MEMBERSHIP

Why can ESSENDON get written into their contract at the dome that at our home games it is fully ticketed. ******** THEM...it is out ********ING HOME GROUND.

mmm happy, happy freaking camper over this way...HAPPY. Thanks for buying a membership SCotty, now if you can just leave Melbourne at 6:00am for Geelong games and pay to go to every game at the dome you can go to the football.

Scotty, some of we country folk like ticketed matches at the Dome - it means we can actually get some work done and don't have to leave at an ungodly hour to get to Melbourne.
As for KP, well, it's a 'boutique' stadium - until its capacity reaches decent levels (yeah, right), then we're stuck with the situation of paying for the right to guaranteed entry.

i must say i am pretty ********ed with my membership for this year aswell...i understand we have reached record membership levels this year and i have been a member for 4 years(as im only young) and this year i havnt even been able 2 get myself a seat to skilled matches...i always pre book, but it always seems the seats are gone, im fine with general admission, but it does get on my nerves when i have to get there so early so i can sit with the people i go with....anyway i suppose there isnt anything the club can do so ill get over it, but ive never had a problem until this year.....i think ill just have 2 buy a reserved seat 4 next yr...but if i do i cannot bring other people with me right?

I've had no dramas reserving seats (groups of four) at the two KP games I've been to this year - Freo and Melbourne (picked a great two games to go to, hey?).
But I have called at 9am on the first day of sale to get them.

Gotta second that statement, Scotty - I would rarely be able to get to a Friday night or Skilled game if it weren't for ticketing. When we played Collingwood unticketed at the Dome, I left home at 3pm to get there at 5pm to ensure I could get a seat. Most people in the country couldn't do that. But I can understand how it would be frustrating when you were in reasonable proximity to the venues.

Buy a social club membership and you're problems at Shell Stadium are solved. I rock up every week and have a seating waiting for me whether i rock up at 9:30am or 2:09pm.

It is always there waiting for me... Gotta love it.

Can't you guys just get a reserved seat with your membership?

This bloke's problem sounds like pretty standard practice in all major sporting leagues around the world. Try getting into Subiaco without a reserved seat. Surely you can't expect that a $130 (or whatever it is) membership should get you guaranteed entry into 11 AFL games. It's not a bushleague.

The days of buying a Membership ticket and wandering down to the ground 1/2 hour before the game starts are long gone (MCG excepted)
Book a seat for the season or stand simple.

I payed closer to $250 for my membership.

I dont want to sit at Kardinia, I want to stand.

Look I have no problem with booking seats. Call up club. Member blah blah blah is coming this weekend. Thanks for your help. But why do I have to pay $11 to do that? RUDE! Basically my gripe is due to the fact that you have to pay twice, they are double dipping.

Of course we can. The problem might be here is that sombody only wants to choose the games they attend. I have four seat st "Skilled" and 4 TD for our Home games there. The only way to fly !!!

Scotty , If you want to stand why do you need to book? Dont you just roll, present membership and in you go?

Does the Standing Room area ever sell out? Meaning if enough people buy SR tickets before the game, will their be a situation where you rock up with your general membership and can't get in?

I will be taking my luck and jsut rocking up. Lets hope the fans arent out to see Waynes last game and the continuation of the Nathan show or I will be standing outside the fence.

I jsut dont see why i have to pay to be guaranteed. and common $6 booking fee and $5 handling fee. WTF!

Shell, some of us prefer to stand.

I've been standing at KP for over 25 years and it's my prefered way to watch the footy.

The same for Me LB. I would always stand at KP under the Pie sign towards the Hickey end Scoreboard, Thats where my grandfather first took me to see the cats 30 (or more) years ago.

Scotty, If you want to just rock up and get in you should Go early or stay at home and stop sooking like a Richmond Supporter!!!!!!!!!!

Membership is not just getting in the gate, it's about supporting the Club so we dont have to sell games to Adelaide or WA to survive.

Exactly.. go early... we would hav ta be up at 7am to get to the ground by about 9am, (10 years ago) if we were any chance to get a good spot b4 they put the res. seating in the outer.
And as 4 selling games interstate.. u just have ta look at Melbourne to see what a fat lot a good it did them.
