Memberships.

Hey guys!

I have had this sick feeling in my stomach for a while now and I realised it wasn't that I needed to go sit on the toilet, but it was about who we might pick up in the draft this year, I have an extremly bad feeling that we might pick up a plaer called Leroy Jetta, some of the reasoning behind this is the amount of people on this website who have said and predicted that we will go for a play who is a good quality outside midfielder, if we do this then I will not be renewing my Membership with the RFC of which I have been a member for my whole life now, I won't renew my Membership if we go for someone like Leroy Jetta because I do not believe we would be going in the right direction, we desperatly need talls and according to Luke McGuane our prized trade isn't all he is hyped up to be, ATM he is a shocking boxer he is last in all the Time Trials and he has absolutly no strength.

We need a tall player of the likes of Nathan Brown or someone like a Sellar or Hilsop, all I know is that if we pick up an outside midfielder again after using our first pick on JON last year when Mitch Clark was available then we are definetly heading in the opposite direction that I thought we were heading in.

What are you talking about???

I wasn't talking about Roach, all I'm saying is that in my 18 years onthis earth I have not seen us get into a Grand Final apart from the preseason comp. I don't want to have to wait around for another 18 years or longer to see us in a grand final and if we pick up a player of the type of JON or Tambling or something then I believe that we are going in the wrong direction and I will not be renewing my membership, sure I will support us but there will be no way I will renew my Membership.

Leroy is an absolute gun, he was awesome for vic metro and gets the hard footy as well.

Your opinion is fine...hell, I'd agree with you...but your overall outcome is flawed. Ignore stupid comments from the likes of footy4eva...which are unnecessary...but saying you won't renew is a little strong.

Look, its your decision. If you don't feel the club is heading in the right direction, don't bother with a membership. But keep in mind that those guys down there at Punt Road have been doing this for a while...even if they do pick Jetta, contrary to yours (and mine) beliefs.

nothing like blaming the club for you not buying a memembership. As others have said if you are truly a richmond FC supporter then you will buy a memembership regardless of who we pick, how badly we do the year before.

so if the club doesnt head in the direction you think it should you wont buy a membership.how the hell would you know what direction the club should head in.? miller and wallace know what they want and we can holler and scream till the cows come home but at the end of the day do they really listen to our opinions.?.hey at the end of the day we all love the club buy your membership and enjoy the ride.

I know the direction ATM is to pick up good quality talls, either forwards or backmen, not small fast outside/running midfielders.

Also unlike many people on this board I haven't been able to see Richmond play in a Grand Final unless it is on DVD or Preseason.

I want to be making inroads to the Premiership and I don't care how much I get bagged for saying it but I don't believe we should be picking up anymore small fast players.
