Not sure this is the right board but does anyone know of a way to get a rough estimate value on afl memorabilia as im looking to sell and need help. Thanks

Depends on what your selling. Hard to put a dollar amount unless know what it is

Its a one of a kind match warn boots by jonathan brown from the Victoria vs allies game in 2009 i think signed as well

Now that was an beauty of a game. I wish the AFL would keep that tradition going. Victoria vs Dream Team

I'm guessing at least $1000.00
But honestly I would resist selling them. Wait say 20 year Lions premiership reunion when the boots would increase in value. You even said it one of a kind. I have heaps of Fevola, Judd signed jumpers and Diesel Williams signed footballs and soo on but personally I don't intend selling them

Have you thought of contacting Rick Milne who has the Collectables page in the Football Record? He obviously specialises in this sort of thing and his contact details can be found in the Record (it was 2008 btw):-

Email mrpp1427@ppcollectables.com.au or drop him a line: 5 Cooraminta St, Brunswick, Vic, 3056, or call (03) 9387 4131. One query per reader.

Think i bought it for 5000 so yeah might be better of keeping it not sure yet

I wouldn't pay $5k for it. Keep them

Imagine the worth of the boots in the scenario of
1, 20th 30th year reunions
2, in the event JB dies (of course not wishing but using it as an example)
3, State of Origin returns

Ask this guy. He'll have a buddy who's an expert in that sort of thing.

because no one other than Victorians would care about it - hard to keep an interest in something where there is no rivalry between the two teams.

reckon you would struggle for $500 if you let the market decide the price. Doubt they would ever go up in value at a faster rate than inflation.

If you don't like them cut and run. If you do like them, never sell ( unless you find someone in the same mood you were in when you bought them)

You could contact Mossgreen in Armidale. They have several sports memorabilia auctions each year. Otherwise eBay might be a useful guide.

Will give you $50 bucks, I need to frame it, put it up in the store, I just don't know if it will sell, I'm taking the risk here.

I have a whole house full of crap signed by dennis lillee. He used to come into my shop once a week so each week I would just pull a different item out from under the counter for him to sign.

I have a 1994 Essendon calendar, signed by the great Paul Hills. Any takers?
