Often times, a good character can make a TV show and be as memorable as the show itself. That character may not necessarily be the lead.

I'm thinking the likes of Ron Swanson, Dwight Schrute etc.

Possibly a case of recency bias because I'm watching repeats now, but for me my favourite TV show character has to be Frank Costanza. His line delivery, tone, expressions etc were effing hilarious and stole the scenes.

And I'm fairly certain Frank was meant to be played in the complete opposite way and be softly spoken. :tearsofjoy:

Others:
  • Tony Soprano
  • Homer Simpson
  • Gareth from the Office UK

And honestly 99% of all the side characters of Seinfeld. They were all cast so brilliantly. I love how in one tiny moment you see Puddy sitting by the phone, just staring into space not doing anything before it rings. :tearsofjoy:

Wayne Arnold from the Wonder Years......everyone knows a knobhead older brother or cousin like him

Both of them. IYKYK.
