Does anybody know how to clear your memory so your computer doesn't go as slow?

Memory is fairly cheap - if you can, buy some more.
Also, make sure you have enough swap space on your harddrive.
Depends what operating system you are running, but for XP I try never to drop below 10 gig free space. If I do I sometimes notice a bit of a slowdown.
If you are running any applications by smaller companies, they may have memory leaks. Hell, even Micro$oft ones do. If you run them for long enough, there's no way of getting that memory back. You have to reboot.

A good idea to make memory go faster is to wash it. Dirt, dust and grime build up on memory and this affects its performance. Remove the memory from the PC and give it a bit of a scrub with some soap and water, not too hard though, or you might damage it. Also apply a little bit of fine grade oil (eg sewing machine oil) to the slots in the pc where the memory goes, this will improve things no-end by improving the conductivity between the memory and the main board.

or Start Menu > Reboot would do it for ya.
Or you can just hit the power button, if you can't be @rsed with all that.
Or, in keeping with the latter tone in the thread, you could try throwing your machine from a 10th floor balcony window. That oughta do it.
