Someone emailed me this

Subject: Holiday VIRUS......PLEASE, read

You should be alert during the next days:
Do not open any message with an attached file called 'Merry Christmas'
Regardless of who sent it, It is a virus that opens as an Open Log Fire
And will burn the whole hard disc in your computer.

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address
In his/her contact list, that is why you should send this e-mail to all
Your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to
Receive the virus and open it.

If you receive a mail called 'Merry Christmas', though sent by a friend, do
Not open it and shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst
Virus announced, it has been classified by Microsoft as the most
Destructive virus ever.

This virus was dis covered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair
Yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector
Of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

How come all these emailed virus threats always do the worst thing imaginable, like destroy the hard drive.:D

They're usually a load of cobblers acker, just keep that virus software updated, and don't open suss attachments (usually with .exe or .zip extensions) and she'll be apples.

LOL! I can just imagine opening the email and *PHOOM!* - the hard-drive instantly lights up in flames. :p

Oh, and send this message to 25 of your contacts in 3 minutes or your computer will crash.

I don't get many of these sorts of emails because my mates know if they send me these sorts of emails they get put in the spam filter.

But I do get alot of "Commonwealth bank" emails saying i have to verify details. lol.

Once i got an email asking to verify my details with westpac... I don't have an account with westpac

Everytime i get these emails they always have the same thing with a different virus name

like ScooterB, i reckon this is just another tacky chain letter.

Seriously, there are better ways of telling people about viruses than telling people to forward the letter to as many people as possible
