Hopefully we will now look at getting Perry from the Roos to give us a bit more depth down the back. Kent I don't think is really needed anymore, but knowing our history we will end up getting Kent.

we dont need any forwards let alone kingsley

hopefully we can pickup a backmen

Wasnt Perry in todays draft though? If we were going to take him we probably would have today with our last pick. Also if he was any good surely someone would have taken him.

Exactly

very wise to pass on the last ... we can sit back now , sort through what is left . Whether it is a re-cycled player or another kid , we can weigh it up .

Depends on how they think Kent will go @ Fullback ;)

put a couple of reddies on KK being tried out in the one on ones v Richo, sarge and Polly just to see how the boy measures up ....the next few weeks will tell the story

on your way son :thumbsu:
I thought the same thing as soon as I heard we drafted Reiwoldt. I reckon if we still draft Kingsley we'll get a few blunter opinions on here than "pathetic decision". :D

not necessarily, at this stage , our KPP backs are linked to a fit Gas, if he goes down we are looking at Ray Hall carrying the can...I sense they see KK as a potential fall back option rather than let us slide into an abyss following an injury to a tall defender...

According to the Training Observations thread Perry is training with us and hopefully this is a sign we will be taking him. Only issue is the Hawks pick before us and could take him as they have declared they wont take players older than 23.

Kicked 8 goals in round 2 this year.

How many AFL players can claim that on their CV.

Kingsley will be a boom recruit for Richmond...don't worry about that.

Now all you need to do is have the guts to draft him.

we would be fools not to take kk
perry is crap, kent hs ave around 50 goals a yr over the past few yrs
he will be a gr8 pick up

Give him a go before you write him off. He doesnt play at AFL level because he is ********.

he played at afl level, doesnt mean he is afl level

at first i thought why would the hell do we want cant kicksley he is rubbish, now its not about him and more about why do we need another forward?

a fit nathan brown and more gametime for schulz, and the development in hughes and reiwoldt means we dont need him

no doubt miller will think "he's done it again" by getting a name but is it for the better of the rfc

no fukcing way :thumbsd:

Kicking something like just under 200 goals in 4 seasons prior to 2006 gives good reason to suggest that he would be in ur top 3 forwards at the club.

Add to the fact the best defender will go to Richo, KK will get a second (or even third tall defender when Simmo rests up forward) and will obviously be able to use his experience to his advantage over a kid.

1 bad season doesn't make Kingsley crap, but try convincing the Geelong board of that ...

I'm a bit on the fence with Kingsley more to do with him taking a spot from one of the developing forwards rather than he himself as a player. However if said develping forward was good enough he would force his way into the side regardless.

Also at the Cats Kingsley was their number one forward target, at Tigerland he would be a roaming forward flanker. If he was able to kick 50 odd goals a year on a number one defender imaging what he could do on the third string tall (provided he gets the ball kicked to him).

Even 50 goals would be a great return considering to date Pettifer, Krakouer etc are only getting 20 - 30 goals a season.

If I said Richmond could get a PSD pickup who will play 15 - 20 games next year and kick 40 goals off the forward flank, you would take that most days in winter. Kinglsey has the potential to do that and more.

He won't though, because he's going to have to share it with Richo, Schulz, Brown, Krakouer, Pettifer, etc, etc. A similar sort of return to Pettifer would be a realistic expectation IMO.
