Messenger Service

Ok, lately I've been receiving these large pop-up boxes on my screen saying 'Messenger Service' - not related to MSN Messenger.

Basically it is just one big spam ad for pr0n or finances. Has anyone ever experienced the same type of pop-up spam and if so how on earth do you remove it (apart from clicking 'OK')?
