MFC Nicknames

Just wanted to know all the players nicknames and where they came from. These were the ones mentioned in the AFL Forum.

McLEAN: Badger
MILLER: Paris
SYLVIA: G-D / Kid
JOHNSTONE: Trapper / Tigger
BROWN: [/b]Dogga[/b]
RIVERS: Moon
JAMAR: The Russian

Jamar's called "Russian" because he looks like Alex Ischenko.

Much like how Troy Longmuir is called "Horse" (or was when he played for us at least) because Longmuir sounds like Longmire rather than any other sinister reason.

And Moon/Rivers would be as in the song "Moon River" you'd presume. Very retro.

And where's the mention of why Peter Walsh is called Whopper? I'll bet you any money it's not because of a hamburger endorsement.

and also i have heard him being called Frosty....dun get that one either

Possibly for the same reason he's known as 'Tripod'.

Frosty Miller was a gun Full Forward for Dandenong in the old VFA. The VFL goalkicking medal is named after him. Because Brad's a forward Cowboy From Hell & I have referred to him as frosty since his move to CHF last season, I don't think we were the only one's who like that nickname for him.

Brad has Spanish ancestory & you can see it in his complexion & features a bit & he used to be called Carlos at the club for a while. Paris has taken hold now though but I'm not sure why.

TJ's used to be Rolla, now it's probably Tigger.

I can't explain "The Worm". Dennis Rodman was "The Worm" at the Chicago Bulls, perhaps they're thinking he's a direct opposite. You know it's like calling quiet blokes Rowdy but I'm only guessing.

Tigger, TJ I dunno about that either.

Do you think he looks like Tigger?
