No it was Pyke, But I guess Pyke just works for Campo like some seem to think.
Campo an assistant coach not the coach, he one Voice. Last I heard there was more than one Assistant coach.
Pyke a strong man and make his own decision on how the team is run,

CEY had an oustanding year in the SANFL, he seriously couldnt have put his name any further forward than he did.
I have no doubt he will be played this year or the crows would have been incompetent not to trade him if they werent planning to play him. His value was probably a third, next year it will be straight delist if he doesnt get a crack
Funny thing is CEY 's form is the best it can be, I actually dont believe Bqrlow could play aswell in the SANFL as CEY did even at the slower pace. Seriously cant see Barlow getting a giog in front of CEY, Sloane, Crouch, Crouch, Douglass or Wigg and maybe Smith in the mid. Thommo simply shouldnt have been retained like VB was a waste of a spot last year. Maybe Ottens is a waste of a spot also, so if Im going to point the finger at these guys, you wouldnt take Barlow

And he was not alone, but that was 2015 and CEY needs to improve and work hard to play in 2017, he has a chance, it up to him to take it, But us blaming the campo for his woes is wrong.Nope, it's definitely Walsh that I was referring to, but I'll leave it to you to figure out why.![]()
If CEY is good enough he get the gig, simple blaming the coach will not change that one bit. Also based on last year CEY needed to improve in a few areas, his second effort at times and defensive side needed improvement. Its only my opinion and I am only going on what I saw live at the games, not what was read in the papers or looked at on the stats sheet.
As For Barlow if he is selected and is good enough he plays, if not he keeps some others company in the SANFL.

My views again which Does match the Club best and Fairest was Jono Beech followed by Grigg, ROB, Wigg then CEY , But then I also look at work off the ball. and rate that highly. Need to remember ROB made it easy for the Inside mids to get the ball first.Who played better than him over the entire year in the two s
I didn't realise that was the order for the SANFL B&F. IF so CEY should have demanded a trade. Clearly he's not rated by our coaches. My views again which Does match the Club best and Fairest was Jono Beech followed by Grigg, ROB, Wigg then CEY , But then I also look at work off the ball. and rate that highly. Kim Hagdorn?5aa had a Perth guy on this arvo who works at the same radio station as Barlow. Didn't catch his name.
He said that while Barlow had several offers from other clubs he had spent a lot of time talking with Don Pyke this week and seemed very impressed with Pyke.
He said that Adelaide are up to their ears in Barlow and his opinion was that Barlow will sign with Adelaide.
Hope so, as our mid-field is too thin otherwise.
So top two aren't on our listMy views again which Does match the Club best and Fairest was Jono Beech followed by Grigg, ROB, Wigg then CEY , But then I also look at work off the ball. and rate that highly. Need to remember ROB made it easy for the Inside mids to get the ball first.

Personally, having only seen about half the games, read the reviews and seen the stats, I would have guessed them in reverse order. Also, cant believe Grigg was 2nd. Blows me away that one.
Beech is still on the list, Grigg delisted. So top two aren't on our list
Beech is on the rookie listBeech is still on the list, Grigg delisted.
Do you really believe that CEY playing the bulk of games under Walsh and then one alone as the sub under Campo in the space of just one season had nothing to do with the change in coaches? And he was not alone, but that was 2015 and CEY needs to improve and work hard to play in 2017, he has a chance, it up to him to take it, But us blaming the campo for his woes is wrong.

Some of the players coped other took some time, Not all played well after the change in 2015,Do you really believe that CEY playing the bulk of games under Walsh and then one alone as the sub under Campo in the space of just one season had nothing to do with the change in coaches?
I'm not sure what to say to that.
Right, so we're led to believe that the second half of 2015 was due to Walsh's passing and 2016 due to him not doing that little bit extra in training. What's 2017's excuse going to be?Some of the players coped other took some time, Not all played well after the change in 2015,
West AdelaideFFS .....can you make up your mind what your position on a subject is .......any subject for that matter ......i am convinced you actually forget which side of the argument you're on
Yeah I would turn down Fyfe because he'd keep Menzel out of the team
Gibbs is good
Barlow is average
Sure, both would take up a spot but if our goal is to be good then who cares. I don't think that is our goal though.

Fine - Gibbs is not the only player in the league. Decide Gibbs would cost too much then get Rockliff. Don't want Rockliff then target someone else. Any other midfielder in the entire competition who would help us next season. Whatever you do - don't get no one. That is the one absolute result at the bottom of the entire list of possibilities that is the worst possible outcome for the AFC at this stage - falling just outside the top four with a core group of players in their prime. Needed to be avoided at absolutely all costs. Instead it seems to have been embraced.
Yes he's on the Rookie List, list being the key word. But if you want to go down that path 4 players in the top 10 were rookie listed players,Beech is on the rookie list
West AdelaideNo the recruitment of Barlow would fulfill everything that you ranted on about after losing Gibbs ......that's one for the gipperAren't you the one constantly spruiking Menzel, Doedee and others as midfielders?
This recruitment specifically stops that from happening.
2017 is his to play for he already started and could be better for it. He either good enough to make it or he not.Right, so we're led to believe that the second half of 2015 was due to Walsh's passing and 2016 due to him not doing that little bit extra in training. What's 2017's excuse going to be?
Yep that's literally what I said.FFS .....can you make up your mind what your position on a subject is .......any subject for that matter ......i am convinced you actually forget which side of the argument you're on
So do you want Barlow or not? ......can i remind you of a very recent "rant" of yours
Did you or did you not say this below![]()
West AdelaideSo you're in favor of getting Barlow? .......why the gripes then ?Yep that's literally what I said.
Surely 'someone good' is a given and doesn't need to be specified.
Unless you think I would be happy with Kane Mitchell.
Picking up a bargain basement delistee for nothing is not what I'd consider to be an alternative option to Gibbs.
