His comeback from what was a devastating injury has been a remarkable success.

He clearly hasn't lost an ounce of work ethic, his hand skills and poise are as good as ever, his footskills still rusty but should get better with a proper preseason.

One of the success stories to come out of our season, and I can't wait to see both him and Mundy running around again.

Will make such a difference when he's flying again & Mundy & Mora are back. Go ahead, tag Hill, Balla & Fyfe, Barlow, Mundy & Mora will cut you to bits

Any one see poor Strauss from Melbourne breaking his leg in the same sickly fasion. Initial reports say same as Barlow broken Fibula and Tibia. He will to go through the same recovery.

Barlow will really benefit from Sandi's return because he reads the ball so well of the ruck taps.

Yea, the guy is all class. You can see that footy brain is sharp as ever, especially with his excellent hands and good positioning - of course the body isn't all there yet unfortunately. His leg speed is not all there, his kicking average to poor and he lacks penetration on his kick too (a common problem with serious leg injuries). If he can get those things back over the pre-season, you can see that magic will be there again.

Yea, saw that. I think he could be in worse hape than Barlow because the impact was from the top of the leg - higher chance of comminuted or spiral fractures etc. On the other hand, the force would be less so that may help his cause. Strange break to me, it was basically his own body weight that did the damage.

Micky is already legend after barely 20 games for our club.
Seems to be a terrific bloke as well and I am so pleased he looks to have made a good recovery.
Give him a good pre season and he will be flying again next year.

He's running visibly slower (hopefully he gets it back 2012), but his understanding of the game is out of this world and even the most basic handball somehow seems to free up a runner and start a chain of play leading to a shot at goal.

Just so happy to see him out there again :thumbsu:

I would love to see Micky B as captain - He may not be the most vocal on the field - but just his story in itself is an inspirational tale.

Over looked in the draft - Never gave up...
Broke his leg - Never gave up...

Something ALOT of our boys could learn about - Never giving up!

He is the most creative handballer the club has had and he works very well with Hill because he cand handball it exactly in front of where Hill is running too and sets up plays. He is a purely brilliant player.

Absolute superstar...up around 30 touches every game coming off a badly broken leg. One of the smartest players in the game and a great bloke who will lead our team throughout the rest of the decade. If only we had 22 of him.

Yep I forgot how creative his handballing is.
Some of his handballs in the first quarter and a bit against wet toast were so attacking.

So good to see him back at such a high level

We know he can improve so much more as well - he is still nowhere near 100% fit, but when he gets his game on he is great to watch

Was on the plane home with Barlow, Subes, and Clarke and they all seemed in decent spirits - said they were looking forward to the recovery they were going to get (mainly Clark and Barlow coming off consecutive 6 day breaks)

Mundy may have been with them (?) as when collecting luggage, a Freo bag went by with #16 on it, but didn't see him hop on the flight

micky has been great since he has been back. his kicking is a little off, i hope he gets that back, but his handball is diesel williams-like. great player
