Just out of interest - If you could go back in time, would you prefer that your mob took Barlow over Hardingham?

Kyle seems to be quite serviceable?

This is why I think Barlow will get back to his best. Some players don't have the mental toughness to deal with the setbacks a broken leg brings, but Barlow does. He has gotten to where he is today through sheer grit and hard work so I have no doubt he will be tirelessly pushing himself to overcome what is just another obstacle for him.

I agree.
Nathan Brown was never the same after his injury. And I hope that Barlow doesn't lose any leg speed, agility etc

@Dockernut- I think Hardingham is going to be a very good player for Essendon, but Barlow is a naturally gifted footballer.

Really good story and from all reports what a grounded young man. I get the feeling he will be a one club player too (I hope) as he said in a few interviews that he loves the fact Freo took a punt on him.
If he gets back to his best as do Mundy and Mora I think we will have a genuine contender. All 3 are big lads, Barlow has the smarts, Mundy has the poise and Mora the explosive flair. Good times ahead I think.

The sad thing is that article came out only a few days before he broke his leg. It was like a jinx.
The footy gods read the article and clued into what was happening under their noses (Freo having a potential elite midfielder) so they did what they always do - put a stop to it.

****ing bollocks.

Mick will be 6PR's insider in the dockers camp for 2012. Was basically an introduction from where he has come from and where he is currently at.

Went through the days he was at St.Kilda for a 6 week period in 2007 I think he said. At the time he came straight from the Goulburn League and has no hard feelings towards Ross Lyon didnt give him a rookie list spot back then. Mick said it would have been a big risk picking him on the back of lower league form.

Went through when he was picked up by freo and had no expectations of playing at all that first year. Just wanted to get into the full time environment, work really hard and see what happens. We all know the story from there...

He hosed down the channel 7 report last night which stated he has not completed a full training session. He said the only session he has missed was yesterday which was a management thing and nothing to do with injury, he said a few others joined him in a managed session.

In regards to Peel Thunder this week, I got the impression he wanted to play but the decision will be made by the coaches/fitness staff today with an eye on round 1 against Geelong. Millsy suggested he miss this week as he is a Subi supporter...

No major news but just a good insight into where he is at now... Which is basically ready to go.

wow that video brings back some memories, makes me have a glimmer of confidence then Barlow tweets this

"@mbarlow21 - Solid session this morning. Alot of hard work has been done @Fremantle_FC Kicked a couple off the shins as usual #standard #gofreo"

his kicking was tragic last year, I know he was coming of an injury, but by golly I hope he can get it back.
