Lol! Yes I recall that. It was so frustrating because im saying to everyone around me "listen to this w@nker calling Simmo Brad Ottens ahaha" but he kept doing it. It was a good laugh but frustrating. I believe they apologised at the next quater break.

Both radio and television callers are becoming increasingly guilty of this.

they have to man because the actual game lacks entertainment for 80% of it. The rest of the entertainment is supplied by umpires and their "controversial" desicions, and the commentators talking about them, ontop of what player x should have done, since they should have had the ability to push the slow mo button and have an extra minute to make the right desicion.

Did anyone see the Roos v Power game yesterday? LMAO, it fired up in the last 3 minutes of the game, in front of a "sell out" audience.

I saw some of it. It was horrific. The first time my good lady has taken possession of the remote to the plasma during prime footy time this year! She was dutifully honoured and my eyes were spared any more of that shocking display. Should have been a nil all draw.

Me thinks its time the AFL heeded TW's advice.
They desperately have to make players play for something. i.e. $100,000 winner take all on every match.
8 X 22 = 176 games.
176 X $100,000 = $17,600,000

$780,000,000 - $17,600,000 = $ 762,400,000

Now if i was a businessman, wanting to make the most of each game, re. crowds and tv audience watching a real contest, I would deem that as a rather minisclue investment, in the future of the game and along with the bonus of the increased money put up, when the nexts rights are up for grabs.

Its so obvious that it would make every game a real contest.
Your team wins 10 games and that is a mill in the bank and black on the balance sheet. Now Wake the F**k up AFL.
