Got everything going for him. Would have been a top 20 pick at least next year. A very classy mover with good skills. One of the best selections in the draft. Kinnear Beatson has not missed a beat in recent years. Richmond and Carlton could both do with having a look at how the Lions do it.

The Karate Kid

Resticted this year due to injury and only played a handful of games for the Jets. Skinny but inside midfielder who has some tricks and wins it well and delivers neatly by hand. Has plenty of development left, but is a understandable punt by the Lions.

They probably felt that they had 4 recruits in the bag that they were happy with and decided to punt a 17 year old with some potential that may have been a priority next year. It could go either way, and I suppose only time will tell.

P.s. think he has a black belt in karate.
