Did anyone watch the scorpions vs the hawks..... good game up until 3/4 time.

Michael Rix, if he doesnt get a game this week.... its f**ki*g bull:D:D:D:De. He was easily in the top 3 players on the ground... Played against a 206cm giant, (he is 200cm) and killed him. Got the hitouts, Rix- 44 Bailey-17 or something.

Hew as throwing himself at every contest and was a credit to himself. Loves the tough stuff. What we need, we have been way to soft.

He was named 5th or 6th bp i think snickers...i would imagine he may get his chance this weekend...after all we are playing no one really are we

we dont need idiot beanpoles in the middle, we need jason blake in the mmiddle to clear the pathways for ball and dal santo

If Rix doesn't play this week it's an absolute joke.

On the weekend alone he had 44 hit outs (15 to advantage), 10 marks, 17 possessions (9 kicks, 8 handballs).

And his form before this was exemplary as well.

And he's a proven consistent performer at VFL level over a rather lengthy period of time.

He won Coburg's best-and-fairest last year, and was on Hawthorn's rookie list before that.

He's a solid build, and promises to be much more than just another Oliver or Brooksy.

What more does the kid have to do to get a game, a 24-year-old kid at that?

I saw the game and he absolutely dominated the hit outs and gave Bailey a bath around the ground. Strong mark, good kick and a solid frame. With your ruck problems, I think he should at least get a game this week. By they way, Ackland did a hammy in that game, and I think Blake got injured too.

Brooks did a hammy (or at least a twinge)

Ackland severely dislocated a finger, which required a hospital visit to correct.

Blake played against Freo.

dislocated a finger waifing at fresh air??? Wasnt matt rendell a ruckman??

Why is it that he cant get these beanpoles to hit to the midfielders advantage?? Hitouts mean jackall if the go straight to the the other team.

Jason blake can jump into the other ruckman, get the ball to the ground and let dal santa and ball go find the pill. all he has to do is clear their path.

Just remember that Rix was up against a 19 year old, first year ruckman and, whilst he did towell him up, it doesn't stand for much. I agree that Rix should get a game, but wait until he does something against quality opponents before you make a decision on how good he is.

In saying that, he was fantastic last weekend and should've been Top 3 BOG IMO.

You're right but we're not looking at him as being the next superstar or anything like that.

We just want him in the team and show us what he can do.

Blake isn't a #1 ruckman and with Kosi and Ackland out of team I can't see any reason why we wouldn't play him.
