Hi all just up for some discussion & not sure if it's already be brought up elsewhere?

But following Vossy's statements yesterday on "Game Day" when asked about Senior Coaching again, Firstly he was asked if Brisbane approached him to say we made a mistake & would like you back to coach the senior side he said his anwers would be "Categorically NO" but then straight aways was asked if interested in coaching in any capacity he said he would be more than happy to "trundle along as an assisstant somewhere" but also said with his kids hitting teenage years & nearing high school that wherever they went for their kids schooling benefit they wanted to stay "for a while".... So I guess the question has to be asked should we approach him to be an assisstant? My answer.... Well it's opposite to Vossy's answer yesterday CATEGORICALLY YES!!

The way I see it (especially after this year) is if you want to be the best you have to have the best! Not only would Vossy implement some sound knowledge into our players to develop, but he would also instill that last 5-10% toughness we need in them!! Also it would help having more professional eyes watching over the whole "goings on" by the football club!! Now I'm not sure exactly who's spot he could/should/would take but a small reshuffle should be organised to get this man!!

Thoughts??

That is the concerning part for me.

Well, we're bound to have a spare assistant spot available.

Goodwin takes over senior coaching and Voss takes over as midfield coach?

That's be ideal should Goody take over.

God help us if he brings along his forward coach though (it's Shane Woewodin for those playing at home)

How would it be too many cooks if Goodwin takes over from Hird and Voss fills in Goodwin's vacancy?

I can't see him taking on a development/specialist role . I reckon Voss would be thinking about a gig behind Roos at Melbourne or somewhere else where he'd be 2IC with a chance to get himself back into senior coaching (from what I've heard, he seem determined to make Brisbane look stupid - good luck to him by the way).

If Voss is an excellent tactician or can be used as a specialist forward coach I suppose I have no problem with it but my impression is that Voss isn't either of those things and would be wasted being what it in effect 3IC.

I was just about to post this thread. Vossy has great football knowledge. He doesn't want to be a head coach, he wants an assistants role. Yet no offers yet.

I was speaking to him during and after AFL Game Day yesterday, such a top bloke. I'd love him at Essendon and with Hird away for 12 months, we are staying with in for a new head coach and thus need an assistant to replace the assistant who will be stepping up to be 2014 head coach.

You spent the weekend youtubing Clive Palmer too?

You know what, I actually did.

My favourite part was when he threatened to sue the AEC because preferences were 'bullshit'

I can't get past the interview with Stefanovic.

"Rupert Murdoch's wife, Wendy Dang, is a Chinese spy"

He is my new favourite personality. All jokes aside, he is the true liberal too (not that conservative twat prime minister elect).

I was thinking of this chestnut, which is even further removed from reality than anything Gene Roddenberry dreamed of:

Hmmm, could be playing with fire there, you know, with wanting to introduce "off-site" meditation rooms and all.
