Ok.
I've had my sulk.

I'm not gonna waste any more time being upset angry and miserable about our club.

Voss is coach?

Fine.

Let's move forward.

I'm on board.

Just heard it and Vossy was quite heated with the reporters went back and forth with a couple
I didn't really hear anything "weird" as such. Definitely got the sense of frustration with the media. But was more just treating it as "business as usual"

Apparently Vossys press conference this morning was weird and not straight forward- Sam Edmund

Yep, Voss got annoyed and I loved it. About time he returned serve to them.

GW is backing the coach CLEARLY and has put the microscope on the playing group (that's what I got from what Doc said on 3AW about where GW was popping up).

If a player is not on board, they can leave and don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Too many Primadonna's on the list...

He seemed to change his approach to answers with corrections and statements. Definitely a shift in behavior from him.

Seems like GW has his back, which I'm extremely supportive of (see the tigers - CEO and President and Hardwick)

Life's too short.

Is keeping Voss the right choice? Who knows?
I can see pros and cons in both keeping him and in his actual coaching abilities.
If this is the route we're taking, it needs to be under the proviso that he understands that his current system, for whatever reasons, isn't working and needs to change. We need to surround him with quality assistants that he can delegate to.

I'm in two minds on whether it's good to see us finally back a coach in, or whether we're passing up the opportunity of a lifetime with the amount of quality coaches who seem to be available.

It would be very Carlton of us to finally back a coach in when it's possibly the best time to change. And if another team changes coaches this year and shows considerable improvement in the next few years, while we continue to flounder, it will only leave more questions.

Let's see the response this week against a decent opponent...

Yeh. Play the kids where possible, I don't want to see any senior players come back in off the injury report just to play the last game.

Looking forward to seeing the extent of on & off field changes this year.
100% agree, except would love to see Walsh for 1 game as a pure wingman.

A 5 hour meeting for a unanimous decision?

TA
If all they were doing was drinking scotch, smoking cigars and having a laugh to just finish up with "**** it, let's go around again!" I'd be concerned, but if they went in divided and actually had proper conversations where they put forth all their concerns and listened to Voss's concerns and all came to a clear(ish) path forward, then I can see that taking that long to get to a unanimous decision.

Question is, are we capable of that? Egos at the door, lay it all on the table in good faith...

While I'd love to see him play pure wing moving forward (might be the only way to protect his body and get the most out of him), I'm not sure of the risk vs reward of doing that at this point in the season.
Wrap him up and focus on next year.

or they knew Cleary & co were waiting outside? should have pushed it to midnight...

Imagine essentially being asked how do you feel about not getting sacked? :tearsofjoy:

Then doubling down on details about when he found out, saying ‘oh it matters’. The first 6 mins of the clip was spent talking about it and probing what other changes are happening.

I thought he handled it well - would have told them to gagf.
