Shocking culcha down there don't you know?I'd very tentatively consider him for the role of the departed Guy McKenna - Put him in charge of scouting the opposition, and coming up with tactics that will work against them.
What about Gavin Crosisca? Surely it's about time for him to be brought back into the fold.
McGuane has too many drinking and gambling issues to ever be appointed again at an AFL club.
No ! that was years ago since then, he has taken up a coaching roles everywhere he has gone the results have turned to gold and premierships (admmitedly on a regional level ) have followed. He has brought premierships to the worst regional sides in Tassie and Victoria.
He has got an excellent footy brain plus he is a legendary collingwood premiership player, and we need more of our own in these assistant coaching roles.
Success breeds success.
Nah - McKenna was the "Opposition coach" - His job to scout the opponent and formulate tactics.McKenna was our midfield coach, not our forward scout!?!
That is why half of Melbourne has chased him for a decade for gambling debts.
He had his wages at Ch 7 directed to his creditors and then Ch 7 let him go as a commentator as they had enough.
Find out why he left the Eastern District League.
He still has the same issued he always had.
No thanks.

Not forward scout - That's Caracella's job, IIRC.

Probably was both then - Because it also mentions that he was the senior assistant coach, which I know with Mick always means "opposition coach".Not according to this http://www.afl.com.au/News/NEWSARTICLE/tabid/208/Default.aspx?newsId=65445, or this http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/Season2007/SouthAfrica2008/tabid/10858/Default.aspx.
Also, Caracella was our forwards coach, not our forward scout to the best of my knowledge.
