What is the feel as to what Essendon will do if the decision goes against them? Go to the full bench of the Supreme Court, or now their season is over, go through the SCN process, pay their dues and hope it doesn't impact too much on next season.
I guess another scenario could be a player or players break ranks and looks for a deal. Interesting times.

Players will not be sanctioned as ASADA's evidence will be thrown out.

However ASADA maybe allowed to re-investigate.
Lol.

Take it for granted, whichever way he rules, ASADA will eventually issue SC notices.

And ultimately do your club a favour and rid them of Hird.
 
If the decision goes against the following will happen;

1. Little will be forced out
2. Hird won't coach
3. Bomber will commit to one more year as a placeholder coach
4. Some players will end up leaving by claiming contract breach
5. Most players will take deals to start serving their suspension
6. And this;

I'm pretty sure you can't appeal from the Federal Court to the Supreme Court, I may be wrong though.

Correct. Federal is above Supreme. High is above Federal from memory and then there's some random shit in England that beats the High Court but I'm pretty sure you can't appeal there nowadays.
 
I'm pretty cynical that this will resolve anything at all.
Little didn't want an interrupted finals series so went with the master deflection to keep the hounds at bay. Didn't matter in the end as Essendon have already been eliminated.

One of two things will happen. Judge will declare the investigation was illegal and all evidence be destroyed. OR, the investigation while unusual, and compromised in part by the AFL's involvement, stands and SCN's can continue to be pursued. Essendon will either then answer the SCN's or appeal. I think most people believe they'll appeal. So yes, it won't be over or resolved.

High Court is the highest court in Australia. CAS is the highest court for sporting appeals.
 
Like to see the judge rule in favour of the bombers.

Except if the rumour file this morning is true. Apparently an AFL footballer has tested positive to a PED on game day. The AFL will not release this information till after the GF unless more info is leaked out. Did not say which team. Could be mine FWIW but the team that can least afford the publicity is you know who!

Obviously it's a Tiger player, how else do you explain making the finals from 3-10?
 
makes you wonder if suspensions or bans will ever come of this. The amount of red tape that Essendon can throw up to delay this whole process surely has to be running out. The bombers players will have finished their careers by time this is all resolved and the penalties wont count for squat.

Having said all that though, the amount of disruption this is causing the Essendon Football club is almost, almost punishment enough. I just wish ASADA could wipe Essendon out of the comp for 2 years. Well everybody bar the new players and Zaharakis of course.

Essendon have had 18 months to ready themselves for either outcome, and will no doubt drag this saga down another alley kicking and screaming in order to hide the reality that they were and are to blame for the entire mess.

Lukin's comments give a pretty good insight into Essendon's entire gameplan.
There is no point in looking back and finding out nor admitting what took place, as that just gives all parties grounds to sue.

Essendon will never go down that path, as it opens them up to the extreme. They are better to deny, argue and redirect the argument, as they have continued to do for almost 2 years.
