No, not judging him on one performance. The bloke can't kick. My opinion. I can just see this board pumping him up as the next great hope and then when he misses a few targets each game, they will turn on him. Bookmark it.

While there were a few miss kicks in his game, there were also a couple he hit blokes lace out under immense pressure. Not saying he is a great kick, but I'm not sure he is as bad as you're making him out to be?

The other thing i noticed with his game, is it appears he also recognises it is his weakness and looks to handball a lot, would you agree with that? I like the fact he is trying to play within his limitations.

I think we have had too many players that are one dimensional. The amount of players we had on Saturday that refused to, or couldn't, kick on their opposite foot was staggering.
I thought we were only going to recruit players with elite kicking skills? At least that what the club has told us.
Like I said, Miles will be a good player for us I think. I'm just not pinning him up as a gun just yet.

Yep, not being able to use your opposite at elite level is mindblowing.

They seem to have shifted to more character traits rather than skills. It's destroying us. then we try to play a game style that requires precision kicking..

if we stay down long enough i coached a kid coming through the system (just got selected for the Vic Country Under 16 carnival) who is exceptional on both feet over distance, explosive speed, strong hands and can turn on a 5c piece. hopefully we can snare him to add some footskills to the side :D

I dont think he'll be a "gun", but he'll be a very good, hard at it inside midfielder who is a credit to himself and his club.

I can see this happening too, Tugga, and applaud your efforts to hose down the building of unreasonable expectations, but you know that the board has to either cheer madly or rant and spit, with nothing in between (Schiz-mond supporters).
 
Happy for the kid.. Got leather poisoning.. Need to put him on the back on the rookie list to work on the defensive aspects of his game!!
 
Miles is a bit smaller but I think Matthew Boyd is a good player comparison. Could certainly do worse.

Has lots of upside/class. No coincidence at all that his introduction and subsequent efforts have coincided with our turn around in effort. Strange what happens when you bring in blokes who aren't passengers...

I didn't want gws to let him go. Was always a ball magnet and a hard player. Like it has been said he was limited in terms of upside/speed/kicking and with the list squeeze he was deemed surplus. I hope whiley doesn't get the same treatment!

Congrats to miles and good job getting him. He will be your inside beast for years to cone
