I like the idea. It's a little bit strange given that we'll be heading into a tough finals campaign the following week (hopefully, anyway), but I have to say the idea is a good one. A chance to thank the fans, farewell and thank Ash, and create some kind of club culture for more than a corporate breakfast full of members (absolutely no offence VoR btw).

Thoughts?

I can assure you that VoR is most definitely not the "corporate" style of member. For a start he's in the three tier stand where no corporate would be seen because there isn't enough leg room...

I know that stand (and lack of leg room) all too well. That wasn't what I meant.

Anyway, what I said apparently makes no sense unless you've read Eagle Eye. So read it. :)

The other thing that caught my eye, was that the youngest ever Eagles member was registered within several hours of her birth. Goldenblue, Bluengold, I set the challenge. I think we can better that effort. Hours? HA! I want minutes. Forget that 'informing the family & introducing junior to the siblings' stuff, get straight on the phone to the membership department. We want the youngest EVER pure milk Bubs Club member.

I know, just the thought of VoR being a corporate seems funny to me...

I will when I see it. I don't get my own copy as the club still thinks I live at my folks place.

OK then, I'll cave to the masses. The pressure of expectation is just too much.

The Eags are having a party in a marquee in Kitchner Park after the round 22 night Derby on August 30th. Tickets are $45, and you get entry and a few free drinks or something. It's designed as a farewell to Ash McIntosh -possibly because we wont know exactly when hi last game is until it's been played- as well as a thank you and well done for the members.

I accept your challenge. :)

$45 a pop is great value to say thanks to Ashley McIntosh one of the finest key position players the club has produced.

If they are setting up the marquee at Kitchner Park where will the cars park there for the Derby?
