Early call I know, but dad just doesn't seem right to me. His "someone has taken her" theory sounds more like "I killed her and came up with this neat little theory to cover my tracks".

I might be wrong, but I'm tipping two possibilities - she's dead and dad was involved, or she has wandered off on her own. Not buying the "someone who can't have kids abducted her" line.

About the only thing I know of Childers is the hostel murders/fire and now this. Hoping she turns up without a scratch but I don't think that'll be the case unfortunately.

It seems all that matters is shes found ,going by reactions and news reports. But someone had her, for some reason. Nothing about this is good.

Interesting report on the ABC this morning about it. Lots of innuendo about "tensions" in the town, and a reference to the father being involved in a fight on the street.

Reported last night he was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries received in an assault outside his home. However this could be lateral violence. People spin out in all sorts of ways over missing kids. Australian media has a habit of irrationally turning on the closest relative in murder/abduction cases, maybe a resident did?

just reading this Havent seen news So the little girl has been found ? Glad , because I was thinking she looked so much like Maddi McCann

There's been cases in recent years where it's been well founded.

Definitely a strange case. She's old enough to be able to tell authorities who took her (if she knew the person) or at least how she came to be missing. I'd expect there to be an arrest.

Which is why if she was abducted by someone she knew, then quite frankly, I'm amazed she is still alive.

Historically, there has never been a massive groundswell of interest in facing child abduction charges amazingly enough.

Obviously she may well of been kept blindfolded, or kept in the dark etc, but still, to state the obvious, it's extreme high risk offending to abduct and then release a child who knows you....and from within a small community.

Funny feeling enquiries may be focused fairly close to home at this point.

Found alive. weird case... but great news..

Wonderful news she's been found. Hopefully she is really okay. How she got from her room to where she was found and the motive behind it is a puzzle though.

In a way you kind of wish her name was never released to the media. She'll one day Google herself and find out the mystery surrounding her that happened when she was 3. Certainly one way to screw a persons mind and life.

Honestly, the dad seems somewhat more sketchy than your average outer suburbs bogan.

Would be interested to know if he's done jail time previously and if so for what.

Agree with all of that. Perhaps the perp couldn't bring him or her self to go down that road when it came to the crunch.

Thats out of bounds mate..

Why? You can post your thoughts/rumour/innuendo but no-one else can? You post that Australian media irrationally turn on family members and as it turns out, at this early stage there's speculation that there is some involvement on the father's part indirectly.

Rapt that she's home safe.

Direct accusations with names attached cross the line, but given the undeniable precedent that exists with family members often ending up being shown to be involved in this sort of thing, I don't see the big deal in speculation to be honest.

Wasn't dad adamant that Chloe was taken by someone who knew them?

One would imagine, he would likely have a few names to pass on in that case.

My apologies for the lack of a sarcasm feature on this forum, look at the alters username.

But anyway, i'm right about the media, look at the falconio case or the Meager case

I probably wouldn't of thrown
that case in the mix I'm afraid.

Still something fragrant about it for mind.
