"The 9 percent in DNA mismatches could stem from several factors, including the specimen’s degradation and insufficient data."

Alien would be pretty far down on the list.

Time to give it up bro.

Would be fair to say that the pics on this site of an apparent life form from somewhere else, are similar but larger?

GG - what is the best place to read about Roswell? The story fascinates me but most sites I come across delve too far into conspiracy wacko theory for my liking. I'd love to read a straight-up account of what has happened thus far and you seem like the right man to ask...

The thing is, I'll be disappointed if aliens look like that.

Why would aliens have ribs? Why would they have limbs? Why toes and fingers and kneecaps? They're from an entirely different planet and yet we basically make them, in the scheme of beings, look just like us (but with a bigger head or less fabric on).

I've always wondered that, maybe, aliens exist in a way we can't comprehend.

Like, imagine if you were deaf. The idea of sound is something that doesn't exist. Songs aren't something you know or experience, and if no one ever spoke about 'sound,' you'd never think it was a thing. So what if aliens exist, move, or communicate in a sense we can't see, hear, or feel? Do you get what I mean?

There's also this worth mulling on...

91% does not make a human.

From the OP...
This is correct, to a degree. However, aDNA degradation in cases of mummification is hardly unusual, in fact it should be expected.

Both mitochondrial and nuclear DNA degrade when exposed to a number of factors including various chemicals, UV radiation, exposure to temperature changes, though simply time will also do the trick.

In fact, even in samples of tissue that may have been near fast frozen and stayed undisturbed in ice for long periods, DNA degradation can still be a significant issue, for those involved in aDNA studies.

Honestly, I don't think the quoted results would be unexpected, in fact quite the opposite and depending on the conditions the corpse was exposed to, the results are likely easily explainable in a general sense.
