Black forrest cake isn't for everyone, it is very rich usually. Personally I love it, my brother would be like Zana though, he wouldn't love it.

Disagree with it getting a 10 anyway as the ice cream was a shocker.

As I mentioned before, that cake looked very rich and I am not a fan of black forrest cakes because of that richness and too much chocolate. But I think Manu loves those types of desserts.

Yep, when it doubt just give him a bucket of sauce or some chocolate, he'll be sweet lol

I thought the cake was on the rich side, might have been okay with something on the side though. Personally I felt an 8 was a fair score on that dish.

I would have liked to have some fresh cream or something on the side, just SOMETHING that wasn't rich and chocolate. Don't get me wrong I like chocolate but not a plate of it.
 
I normally detest reality tv but my love of cooking allows me to rationalise this show as one of my guilty pleasures.

Zana looks like being a great villain this series. Nice mix of wrinkled nose bitchiness and hawtness. Something about her hubby with his mellow demeanor and self-conscious smile makes me doubt she's really as shallow and stuck up irl as she's pretending to be though. Unless she only married him cos he's loaded and then demanded he get his teeth fixed.

Found the cops pretty annoying yesterday with all their screeching and squealing. That got old real quick. And deciding to only put 3 chips on the plate? You don't have to be Gordon Ramsey to work out that wasn't going to end well.

The chunkier one of the blonde friends has a pretty sharp wit about her, but I'm a bit on the fence over whether she'll end up entertaining or annoying in the long run.

I was listening to NOVA Melbourne this morning and some lawyer who knows Zana rang the radio station. Basically he said that a first year lawyer wouldnt earn $250,000 and she completed her trainership last April who is now working at a small law firm owned by her father-in-law.
 
Editing, more editing, add alcohol, put on an 8 hour dinner, and edit some more. Like every year, the ones at the start that they try to portray as the "villains" probably won't end up that way.

Only need to remember back to last year when all the promo's and early eps tried to paint the Melbourne socialites as the a**holes, but it ended up being that red-headed psycho from Adelaide that was the Kathy Bates from Misery character. And the year before they tried the feud with the Perth and Melbourne chicks and the hot one with the mum, but they all liked each other.

Guaranteed there'll be more annoying characters in the next group.
