I've been looking into this recently but most plans don't offer a very large GB limit, compared to my regular Westnet plan that gives me 50GB/50GB for $60.

Is it typical/possible to combine plans and have mobile broadband as well as regular broadband? Telstra has a 12GB limit for $70 and Westnet 7GB for $55, but both those seem quite small for a stand alone monthly limit.

A little help?

go to Telstra, home, bundles and choose one.

go down and choose T-Box, mobile blah blah blah and check what they offer but it's 49.95 for 7Gb mobile.

I chose

200GB Broadband which includes T Box, home line basic + 7Gb 3G data. $148.95 / month

probably not any better than unbundled really.

Those limits are pretty standard for mobile broadband as far as I've ever seen. I'm with 3 and get 12gb for $39 month.

They wouldn't offer big plans because if they did they would make line rental obsolete.

+ the networks cannot handle the contention. so they are priced to limit the subscribers. try the middle of sydney in peak hr, can barely get a connection never mind any speed.

I would also recommend Telstra for 2 reasons:

- they're going to be 1st to Aust market with LTE which will improve wireless BB drastically!!

- Telstra also offer a lot of unmetered content via their affiliated websites. You can stream AFL, NRL, V8s and more without it counting towards your quotas.
