my bad just replied quickly...
why the hell are we getting more mid-fielders we need defenders ffs

mmm It's a fair point you raise. I guess once we load up with midfielders we can maybe put some of them who r also capable of playing forward into the forward line which would let Waite go back. Our plan though is to take the best in the draft not the one we need the most.

Hill plays mainly as a tall/medium running defender for scotch

at the moment not tall enough for key defender but if he adds a few cms...who knows

his best chance would be as a medium running defender or a tall midfielder, similar to embley

sounds a bit like andrew walker?

Oh crap, I'm going to have to start liking you guys, a little now anyway, if you keep taking Swan Districts players.

David Ellard, small forward/midfielder, no idea about height but would guess 178-180 ish. May be way out.

Has great goal sense, fair mark for his size, great ground work. On debut for Swans league team kicked 3 or 4 majors, literally dominated the game when he came on. Seems to have real footy nous. Am disappointed that the Eagles didn't take him with their first / second rounder, although I can't argue against Arrowsmith or McGinnity too much. Good work here, I reckon. :thumbsu:

You don't know how pissed I am he went to the Saints!!! I couldn't believe he was picked up there as well. You know what you get with Milesy, he's done it at league level for 2-3 years as opposed to some kids who have the potential but you don't know what they're going to be like against men.

People keep overlooking the fact that we need quick small defenders as much as we need a KPP.

It's a running game now, so players like the five we drafted today can also push up the ground and play on ball or on the wing. You can only carry four to six KPP in a side without sending them to the bench because your side is top heavy. These five players will keep the likes of Russell, Benjamin, Betts, Blackwell, etc. honest if they don't pull their finger out or get lazy.

I'm very excited about getting Joseph, he might have the potential to be a Foley with his speed and agility. :)
