I think he'll get Welsh. Is quick, strong and tall. Big ask for a guy in his first game, but at 22 if he is not going to make it better to know straight away rather than in a couple of season time.

This is excellent to see Dale getting a senior game, as he has made the AFL the hard way after being rejected by his TAC Cup club, Calder Cannons. He has had a consistant for years with Werribee, working his way to becoming a regular senior player.

I think he will get a role across half back or BP.

Who are the most recent guys for us to get promoted from the rookie list and then later added to the senior list? Contessa and Boyd spring to mind but have there been any others?

Ben, There has been few elevations but Tinsley never played a senior game and I'm not sure that Fuller did either. Contessa did OK for us and Boyd even better but we have generally missed out on adding some good players from the rookie list.

Oh ok, excuse my ignorance as a Swans man then.

I was just going by the draft history in the 2005 AFL Media Guide.

Not a problem but I'm just trying to work out who has been our better rookie elevations. Perhaps Morris might be a great addition.

Nice bit of info Ben,

I thought we'd elevated a few off the rookie list over the past few years.

Despite me previously suggesting Ryan Hargrave would take Ian Perrie i will go out on a limb and say Dale Morris will likely be given the job on him straight up. If that doesn't work then i'd like to see him on Scott Welsh as second option. Best of luck to the kid on debut, i hope he makes us proud.

Fuller never played a senior home and away game.

Here are some other milestones coming up after Grant's 300.

Nathan Eagleton now has 98 games for the WB. He also had 56 with PA.

Pat Bowden has 46 up.

Rohan Smith has 246.

Matthew Robbins has 97 that includes 7 with Geelong.

Shaun Tinsley went to England with the team in 1998 to contest the Australian Cup against St Kilda.

The game was played on the Foster's Oval on 10th October 1998.

Shaun Tinsley played.

Other unknowns to play were Matthew Robbins - probably his first most important game. Played well, very fast and broke into the seniors in 1999.

The following also played in the match, and like Tinsley none of them ever played a single senior game.

Matthew Brewer
Paul DiGiovine
Glenn Hayles
Adam Quinn
Robert Stevenson
Lincoln Reynolds

The Bulldogs won the cup.

Morris Back, Harris Forward?

Now iwth Dale Morris as an inclusion to this saturdays line up does this possibly give Harris a chance forward?

Do adelaide have a solid Forward target that Harris should be taking or is perrie the main target?
I think if Morris or Rawlings can take Perrie, i tink Hargrave or Morris can take WeLSH then that will free up Harris...

Do you think Rocket will move Harris to the fwd line at all as a key target?

Re: Morris Back, Harris Forward?

Yeah not a bad idea, thats where Harris played early on in his career. One problem is that i reckon they'll try and stretch us down back and throw Biglands down there when he's resting. I do reckon that Morris would be a pretty good match up for Welsh, and Rawlings should get Perrie, but then Hentschel bobs up and Shaggy may be the man for him...

Re: Morris Back, Harris Forward?

Haris should start FB or CHB on Perrie, Hargrave on Welsh and Moris on Hentschel, and Rawlings playing loose, which gives Gilbee alot more freedom to run off his man and pinch a couple of goals like he did last week. Grant and Darc should start in the forward line and Minson in the ruck.

That sounds like the makings of a spine and some structure!

After all these years of playing like headless chooks do I dare dream about it actually happening?

Is he really 190cm?

Good story - would to see more of this at the Club - reminds me of Brett Kirk. Good example to the younger players of the benefits of hard work and perseverence.

Eade seems to be sending out the right messages: you'll get a good run in the firsts and won't be dropped for a clanger (say Faulkner up to this week); if you excel at the Bees you'll be considered (Power, Boyd); and if you're constantly poor you'll be dropped (Bandy).

Looks good to me just a concern about the centre, I would swap Cross onto Mattner and Griffen onto Goodwin. Mattner has been very good in the 1st four games and i think he needs a little more attention, which Cross will give, and Griff just needs to be allowed to play his natural game and build confidence.

Re: Morris Back, Harris Forward?

Why would you want to move our best defender to the forward line?

It makes no sense to me.

Hate to see West on Mcleod, Westy would be SLAUGHTERED. I would've kept Faulkner in the team and said to him "You've got Macca first quiarter. Go get him". Not to be!!

Mcleod is the danger man, he could do what Judd did last week!!!!!!!!

Eade reckons Morris can play tall or small and is the fastest guy at the club, so maybe he is going to be tried as a back pocket, freeing up macmahon to tag McLeod?
