we all know its been a shocker of a year for us sitting down the bottom of the ladder so Im looking at positives.
thats why I will ask which player this season has impressed you most?
I throw dunn in there because he is playing a significantly different role to last year and has turned his game around to now be a regular player in the senior side.
also from the selected player options what order do you rate them in based on their 08 season so far?
Im going with:
1- buckley
2- valenti
3- wonaeamirri
4- morton
5- dunn
6- garland
7- martin

Assuming you mean we can only choose from those seven, i would rank them as this:

Garland
Dunn
Morton
Martin
Valenti
Buckley
Wona

Would be amiss not to throw in PJ, Warnock and even Green in there. They have improved a fair bit from last year.

Good thread though, there have been a few positives for us. But in reverse, here are the players I reckon may have stalled (or even gone backwards) this year. In no order:

White
Junior
Bate
Newton
Bartram
Sylvia
Carroll

Pretty accurate in my opinion - but I would lift Wona up a couple of spots.

I would throw Chris Johnson into the mix too. Brad Miller has also improved upon last season, and may be what we need up forward for the future.

White - Agreed
Junior - Agreed
Bate - You have a point here too, he hasn't really improved much since last year, but injuries early on played a role in this.
Newton - Agreed, he needs to work a lot harder when he's playing.
Bartram - Agreed
Sylvia - I think he's improved this year, in the last game or two maybe not, but overall he's been better than last year. His attitude could be enhanced though.
Carroll - Has he gone backwards? Or have the younger defenders improved? In any case, his career has gone backwards as a result.

I just put my thoughts in the quoted section.

Might have also voted for a Johnson

Miller shouldn't be included, he's improved but he's also shown us all what he can do previously, where as none of the others have before. Consistancy is where Miller has improved/been impressive

Disagree with the bagging of Bate. I don't think he really knows what his role is within the team, i'm not totally sure, so he shouldn't take all the blame. Is he a running HF or is he a 3rd tall or CHF? And he shown what he can do, remember the Sydney game in Canberra? I think that once the team improves and gets some more structure he'll become a better, more consistant player

MFC, i see what you mean here but we're hardly bagging Bate or laying a lot of blame on him, but i just think after his brilliant 2007 - i think he came second in our b'n'f - he hasn't improved. If anything, after a slow start due to injury, i reckon he may have regressed. Possibly that's due to him not knowing his role, but it's still a valid point.

Bell is definately a canditate for most disappointing season, especially after what he promised last year.

Preety pathetic not to have PJ. Hes gone from fringe player to leading ya B&F.

Garland by a country mile for me.

Warncock second, dont know why he isnt up there and stef martin and valenti are. Havent played near the same amount of games as warnock, havent got the scalps of players like cloke, roughhead and kozi either. P.j third, as he has always had ability and is now injury free but has still been impressive.

Dunny has been good and is getting those miles into his legs so he can become a "chad cornes type" as i said prior to this season. Hope bails lets him loose to get his own ball next year apart from specialised tagging on players like goodes.
