Published by Sega, who publish Football Manager. Actually sounds like it could be really cool in the FM vein. Hasn't got official licencing, but as the article says that could actually be a good thing.

Just learned about this and am keen!

I had this old game called F1 Manager Professional back in the day that was really indepth - had to negotiate engine deals with manufacturers, sponsors, design parts, sign up drivers etc. Hopefully this is something similar but with modern day gameplay features and enhancements.

Played it for a few hours today and it's great fun. Very in depth but becomes simple once you get through the initial learning curve and tutorial.

Had one of my drivers win his first race in the third race of the season, the other driver keeps on crashing out.

Does anybody play this? Bought it this week and am loving it. Finally starting to learn what I'm doing which is seeing me get better results.

On another note, does anyone know how to mod? I'd love to play a V8 Supercar series, or at least one with the drivers, but don't know how to do it.

I got this game in a bundle. Not sure if it's any good. I could either get Football Manager for $60 or get a bundle with Motorsport Manager, Hockey Manager, Football Manager and FM Touch for $55. The reception looks positive, what do you guys think?

Once you learn the ins and outs it's a great game, very addictive.

Yep, really fun game. There's nothing better than timing your pit-stop right and jumping from 13th to 1st in the last three laps.

Right, I played it for the first time yesterday. I have no clue about motorsports so this was very foreign to me. I downloaded a couple mods too which were pretty good and added realism. So I started as Red Bull and did the Sydney GP. I hit the front with Ricciardo and his tyres were wearing out and I got the message so I put him in the pits and because I'm stupid I gave him wet tyres (they last 14 laps and the race was 20 laps), he comes out of the pits IN 9TH PLACE and I get another message saying "Um, boss. It's dried up out here and I have wet tyres" so I put him back into the pits and he finishes IN 20TH ****ING PLACE GOD DAMMIT! I quit after 9 laps.

You're in charge of the whole team.

You upgrade and configure the car, hire/fire and train drivers and staff and go through the whole race weekend testing and tuning the car and setting tactics before and during the race.

The graphics look a little more interesting than Football Manager, which irks me.

Anyone still actively playing this? Saw on youtube last night since I last played it there is now other motorsport disciplines available to play (not sure if mods or DLC) but believe there is now a GT series and Endurance series too. Might need to revisit this again!
