Drop Hill for Lovell please. Lovell is already getting as much of the ball, and he is better in a contest. I would like to see Hill return to his best, but we haven't seen it for a while, so maybe a run at Box Hill is needed.
Howe shouldn't have been dropped. He's been in good form, and at least worthy of a spot starting from the interchange bench.
Upgrade Kade Stewart and play him. Might only be for a game or two, but he looks like he could contribute to the midfield as a starting forward"
Ok, so I'm not sure who needs to be drop'sied - but was fomenting the same kind of thoughts earlier in the day while away from the computer.
I don't think the older brigade can get us there through the H&A season this year. Age has begun laying shackles around their ankles and muddying their decision making.
Perhaps they will rise come finals should our position on the ladder allow it, like gladiators slaying the hordes, but I believe it will need to be our younger and largely untested players who must bolt from obscurity to create this season's momentum.
I LOVE the idea of promoting Kade Stewart and plonking him that same week in the firsts for a taster....perhaps it would be lightning in a bottle and add seasoning to what is a dish clearly missing something this year!
Lovell will supply more highlights than.....well, I won't name names.
Howe's self belief may just plunge him to take the chance of being more than just ok, more than just a cog.
Rotate 2 of the 3 into the team every week. See what's there. Why play safe, aren't 3 premierships now enough to be considered house money?
