Mozilla Firefox for web browsing? Priceless.

I really like this browser so far. A few quirks that some more intelligent web site design would go a long way towards fixing, but overall a nice browser with the added bonus that it isn't so absolutely full of security holes as IE.

I also use Opera.

I have bugbears with all of them.

IE has realtively advanced CSS compatibility, more so than Mozilla (Mozilla, Firebird and Netscape are basically the same browser), but it's script debugging is a bit of a shambles.

Opera has compatability problems as well. Can't access anything with NT security.

leon, neither MSN or Kazaa is an internet browser.
Mozilla, Opera, Safari, etc - replace IE.

You can browse the web in Kazaa, but you can't right click on images to save them.

MSN explorer is great, you don't have it?

MSN explorer is horrible. Takes up a **** load of memory and you have to run msn messenger. It also isnt actually an alternative browser it just uses IE.

MSN Explorer uses IE, as said- it's like saying Windows is a web browser.
Kazaa is a filesharing program that can browse the web a bit.

It's possible to transfer files via MSN, but that doesn't make it a filesharing program.

Or, to use a better analogy for a Collingwood supporter, putting Buckley in the goalsquare doesn't make him a full-forward.

Firefox is a brilliant browser...it is so bloody fast.

If I'm not using it I use Opera which is also fast, but has mouse functions that are easy to master and make it so much easier to use.

Otherwise, at work, I use IE...which is a big step backwards from the aforementioned browsers.

How does Firefox compare?

netscape uses the mozilla suit (NOT firefox) source code, effectlivly all netscape does is add their own stuff (e.g. aim(?)), i would suggest you rather use Mozilla Suit rather then Netscape and even better yet use: firefox for browsing and thunderbird for email

Been using it for ages. I've never had any problems with Debugging scripts and CSS though.

Thunderbird is also a handy replacement for Outlook Express.

Debugging is better, but the CSS seems a little behind IE. For example I've been using the margin-left attribute as per the CSS standards on paragraphs to do custom indenting. Works on IE, but not Mozilla :(

Actually when using Mozilla Firefox when I reply to a message in Bigfooty the 'Your Reply' box is about half the size of what it was in IE. Anyway to fix that?

I've noticed that too. I'll see if I can tweak anything.

One thing I notice is that if I click on a link in Outlook it opens Firefox and also a Windows file browse box to find a web browser.

Strange, thought I, so I just browsed to Firefox and selected the EXE.

Now whenever I clink on a link in Outlook I get TWO windows.

I suspect more an Outlook problem than a Firefox problem.

I'm loathe to move to Thunderbird as I have tons of rules and e-mail accounts set up for various web sites I run. Does Thunderbird import those like Firefox imports your IE faves and cookies?
