The Mozzie Bites are delighted to announce that former Rottnest Razorbacks coach peterss has signed on as their senior coach for the next 3 seasons.

Peterss who decided to leave Rottnest by mutual consent to take an indefinite break away from the game to spend more time with his family has been lured out of coaching retirement in what is a massive coup for the club.

Press conference to follow.

Peterss excited by fresh start with the Mozzie Bites

Newly appointed Mozzie Bite finally arrived at Mozzie HQ to undersee his first training session and also named his provisional side for his sides round 2 fixture.

Peterss previously coached the Rottnest Razorbacks but decided to step away from the game for personal reasons, it was then that the Mozzie Bites CEO decided to approach peterss to gauge his interest in a coaching comeback, which he gladly accepted after some thinking.

Peterss spoke to the media today after training.

MEDIA: Peters, welcome back to the coaching frame, how does it feel to be back in a coaching environment
PETERSS: Thanks mate, its great to be back, to be honest ive missed it and I guess I just needed that time away for a while to get my passion back, I cant wait to get back amongst it

MEDIA: What made you decide on the Mozzie Bites? Because we believe there was another side interested in your services aswell.
PETERSS: Ive always enjoyed coaching against the Mozzie Bites in the past and believe they are a well run club and list wise they in my opinion are very similar to how the Rottnest Side was when I left them.

MEDIA: The Bites have a reasonably young list, after training tonight who has impressed you?
PETERSS: Every player impresses me in their own way wether it be the way they play, the one percenters, the personality etc. But in terms of the young lads at the club, Josh Schache is pushing hard to make a debut for the Mozzies, Jake Lloyd has really shown potential and had a great start to the season last week, hes certainly come along in leaps and bounds, I believe in all our youngsters at the club and can see them all playing a part in the side this season and into the future, with our leaders at the side they'll continue to develop which is a great thing.

MEDIA: Your aim for the side this season?
PETERSS: Obviously finals is a target of mine so our young lads can experience the finals type atmosphere, in terms of a game to game basis, Im hoping to see improvement from week to week, regardless of if we dominate a game one week theres always somewhere a side had a weak spot so itll be a matter of reviewing each game and workingon our weaknesses and hoping it improves for the next game, after all theres always room for improvement regardless of how good a player thinks they are etc.
