You get my drift...

Mostly punk and ska.

My favourite group of all time is Nirvana, but I'm a huge fan of many bands including Pennywise, Millencolin, Living End, Area 7, Strung Out, No Fun At All, Frenzal Rhomb, Foo Fighters, Hole, Smashing Pumpkins, Dance Hall Crashers, Ash, Weezer, No Use For a Name, Bad Religion, Unwritten Law, Reel Big Fish, Commissioner Gordan, Jebediah, Jimmy Eat World, American Hi Fi, Powderfinger, the Beatles, Crowded House plus many many more.

Like your taste Hitman!!!! Did you go see Millencolin last year? They were awesome! :) I'm the proud owner of every Nirvana song ever recorded I think...although I don't have a few of the rare vinyls.

Proud owner of every Nirvana and Pearl Jam album. Only thing that eludes me PJ wise is the Euro and North American tour bootlegs...which one day I will muster up the dough and collect the entire box sets.

Missed Millencolin, and also missed Tool, but trust me, when Eddie and his minions come here, I will be the first in line. Ditto for Bono and the boys.

One of my aims is to get what I call the 'Seattle Foursome'. That is every Nirvana, PJ, Soundgarden, and RHCP album. I'm half way there, but the last two are the hardest...

What I hate is pop and R and B.

Thank god for MMM and JJJ...

I am very diverse, liking most things from Crowded House and Powderfinger (who I am listening to at the moment), right through to Soulfly and Machinehead...

When they get some decent bands at the BDO, I'll show up!

The Hitman

I know, but they have strong links with Soundgarden and PJ, so I kind of associate them with Seattle. Plus they all grew at the same time.

Love Mudhoney, and Alice in Chains hits the spot too...

You seem a grunge kinda guy Santos...you heard of Mother Love Bone? Good band. Or used to be...lol

Did you happen to catch Mudhoney at Adelaide Uni for the first ever Big Day Out in 1992 Santos ?

Still rememeber it well - a powerhouse performance.

I'm not real huge on "McPunk" but Mudhoney are / were a kickass band.

cheers

Rap, Techno and Top 40 **** sometimes!

I just listen too whatever is on the raido on 96.1 or Nova

Ciao Mags

I never really got into Mother Love Bone as about that time I was living in the States and getting right into Skate Punk and Hardcore. Bands like Gang Green, 7 Seconds, D.I., Youth of Today, Agnostic Front etc were grabbing my attention more.

Green River were another pioneer of the Seattle sound. Heard of them?

Mudhoney were a great band - it's a shame they didn't get the recognition they deserved. I would consider them the 4th band from Seattle, along with Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.

Didn't the lead singer of Mother Love Bone OD?

Green River had some of the founding members of Pearl Jam I believe. They nearly sent SubPop records bust I think, but Nirvana signing with Geffen got them out of it.

Green River developed into Mudhoney and Pearl Jam. I consider Mudhoney the first Seattle band. All the other bands acknowledge this fact too.
And as I'm always right it must be so.:D

Metallica! No question about it! :D

Close runners up in Bon Jovi, Green Day and The Offspring.

Apart from that I don't follow bands. Just like certain songs.

Pretty much what I listen to, although I can't say I know Soulfly or Millincolin.

Love older rock like Led Zep, Floyd, Stones, Beatles, Black Sabbath (not with Ronnie James Dio cause he is as big a w*nker as his namesake on these boards!).

Love a bit of rap like Beastie Boys, NWA, Public Enemy, De La Soul.

Favourite band of today is Radiohead.

Someone should dig up our old Best Bands thread! That thread was f*ckin awesome!!!

Anthony Wood did OD, and no other then Chris Cornell found him, as they were roomates and best friends at the time. It also led to the joining of PJ and Soundgarden to create Temple Of The Dogs...
