I see your point too, on the surface losing to the 3 time reigning premiers by 7 goals at their ground could be considered better than losing to the bottom team by a similar margin. Stat's say you're right but I just didn't rate our effort today as much as I rated our effort against Hawthorn.

To each their own I guess...

Guys if there is one thing melbourne has always lacked, its general toughness. This is why read is such a great inclusion. We don't have enough physcial players or physical hardness at the ball. This is why, when melbourne turn off teams can kick a whole heap of goals against us. We don't do enough of the % thing, don't put enough pressure on the opposition and lack hardness at the ball.
This will be shown through the next 5 matches where it will make or break the dees. We will need to be switched on for 4 qtrs for every game now for us to have a chance of winning. We need to be tougher at the ball, tougher at the opposition. We need to make the opposition pay for its mistakes and then ourselves keep a cool head under pressure.

You can't give votes to wheatley his mistakes were woeful. Anyone get to see his kick in? thats 2 weeks in a row when he has completely stuffed up a kick in. Remeber last week vs north when he kicked it 2 metres in front of him and rocca almost got it? Yze kicked blindly a couple of times which is just stupid. He needs to learn he can handpass. Our midfielders have got to play smarter and better %. I have always said our delivery will cost us, and yesterday it was no good. We have to be accurate with our kicks to our half forward and forward line. Otherwise good opposition will hurt us.
