Thought there were 3 standout players today:

3 - White (Won us the match)
2 - Brown (Welcome back!)
1 - Miller (Turning into a star)

Rivers and Whelan unlucky. Wheatley playing with a lot of confidence too (apart from that kick!)

Travis controlled the game when on the ground.

3 - Brown
2 - White
1 - Miller

wheatley, whelan, junior all stiff

Miller presented very well and he definatly looks to be our CHF for the next 5 years or so

3 - White
2 - Brown
1 - Miller

Brown unlucky not to get 3 with his performance today, but I picked White because of his important touches late in the game.

3 - Brown (Outstanding, AGAIN!)

2 - White (Beat Porter, Hale & Brown)

1 - Miller (Strength!)

A good comeback for Macca, this bloke is the heart & soul of this club.

Rivers killed "The Dish" after quarter time.

Wrecker :)

Bruce solid, there when we needed him most.

Flash, two goals on his right foot... That steadier... :D

Liked Heff's game.

Who's that bloke in 31 this season?

We were our own worst enemy again... 13.18:mad: Should've bleted 'em. The response to the North fightback highlights the difference since last year.

Last year Miller only does it for a half & we get run over, this year he presents from siren to siren & we win.

3 - White
2 - Brown
1 - Whelan

Whelan was massive in the last quarter.

Happy with everyone today (bar the bloody umps - they must have been toying with me for chanting "dig a hole" when the first one got carried off :D ) but Wheatley's kickout gaffe was quite distressing.

Great to see such excellent team efforts in our games with no one really standing out as huge star.

3 - White
2 - Whelan
1 - Brown

I give Brown 1 as although he got 37 possies, some were quite pointless handballs.
This is something that is annoying me a bit with the way we are playing, we are hanballing for the sake of it without actually gaining anything from it. If you have space find a target with the foot.

White played a great game, back to his best. One thing I noticed was where he had an opportunity to try and take a hanger, but instead used his body get his opponent under the ball and then took the mark. Needs to do that more instead of trying for the big hanger.

Rivers and Wheatley were very impressive, and also Miller played his best game for the club, just needs to stop sh*****g himself before he takes a set shot for goal.

Whelan gets votes for his crucial defensive possesions and spoils in defence when the Roos were pressing in the last quarter.

Melbourne had an unbelivable amount of handballs and alot proved to be useless. We over used the ball and got ourselves into trouble. Well done to Brown getting 37 touches, but i don't think he was really that damaging with a lot of them. Rawlings was effective in taking out the influence of Bruce on the game. Our delivery to our forwards was excellent, but they let themselves down with some poor kicking. This is happening quite a bit this season, i think we kicked 26 points vs bulldogs. Its time for Robertson to be dropped. Vardy played a great game and presented well. Robertsons poor delivery to the forward line costs us goals. The half forwards of miller, bruce and vardy just are able to be more precise with their kicking.
My votes are:-
3 - Whealen (saved the game for us with a couple of great marks in the last qtr)
2 - Rivers (his amazing ability to read the play just simply astonishes me. He is gutsy and is hungry for his opponents not to get the ball)
1 - Davey (his goal in the 4th qtr won us the game. His hard work to chase people down is awesome. When he caught King in the 3rd just shows how hard this guy trys week in week out)

Reasons why i didn't give white or brown a vote. Although he played an awesome game, this is what is really expected of this white when he came from Freo. He should be producing these games 9 out of 10. Brown also played a great game and ran the wing wild. However, roos concentrated in stopping the influence of others such as bruce, neitz, green and we need someone like this to step up every week. I think brown couldve made the roos pay a higher price with some of his possesions. His kicking for goal is still too inaccurate.

I'm not blaming Brown entirely for some of those excess handballs. What's a guy supposed to do? He's not great by foot so he handballs it to someone better qualified to kick it, sounds like smart team play to me.

He generates a lot of run & always gives an option there's not a whole lot more the bloke can do. The whole team stuffed around with it too much, the extra handpass often got us into trouble. We need to get back to the efficiency we showed in our first few wins.
