Hello All, been a while since I Have posted! I have recently returned from Melbourne to see Geelong and Essendon, and what a great match it was. I have attended the Geelong Port and Geelong Crows fixtures this year, and it has been so rewarding to see Geelong win both games in Adelaide! something I believe has never happened. The Adelaide Cats after game function was very good and had a chat to Selwood etc, with a few sigs on the back of the Guernsey. I have a question, I assume my interstate membership doesnt give me access to a grand final ticket, anyone confirm this? If not, is there ANY way possible, - being a GFC paid up member and all - to attain or be on a list to acquire a GF ticket if we compete???

Thanks for you help guys,:D
Ben

U can become a september member althouhg u may haev to buy a full membership as opposed to an interstate one to be entitled to that and they may be sold out already anyway.

the guys are correct. A premium interstate mebership gives you access to the finals but not the GF. In order to have access to GF tickets you need to be either a full member or a full member who is also a social club member or september member (which costs aditional on a full membership). Being in the social club or sepetember member guarantess you a GF ticket, where as just a full member you can line up at Federation Square in Melbourne after the last PF saturday o/n for when they start selling them Sunday morning.

Thanks for your help guys, so in other words I am pretty much locked into my premium interstate with no chance thru GFC to acquire a ticket?

that's correct, but remember to buy a ticket through ticketek you need a full membership so your interstate membership wont get you into the GF. Your best chance maybe via a scalper but it will cost you heaps I would suspect.

Thanks for your help guys. I hope I can acquire one - even though Im a member! If anyone has any tickets spare or knows anyone who can get in touch with me, i would love you forever. Thanks :)

do they release GF tickets to the public?

I am a interstate member also, but if the chance arose I'd do anything to get my grubby little hands on some granny tickets...

I now have to kick my own bum for alluding to our club playing in a grand final. Better go post on the reverse moz thread again.

I don't think they do....each club gets an allocation with the 2 competing clubs getting the biggest shares. Then the AFL members get a big slice and then there is corporate packages. The MCC members usually show up. Then a certain amount is sold to companies who use them as prizes in GF promotions. Not much left for General admissions after that I'd suspect.

This raises the question, why should interstate members not have the chance to compete for grand final tickets? We support the club, albeit for $118 - premium, (by the way what does premium get me instead of normal interstate membership?) because we cannot attend all the games. Myself, I have been to three games this year, based in Adelaide I am.

Why should us interstate members get punished for not paying the extra $47? Should we just fork out the money for an adult membership? One in which we will only use once, maybe twice in the year.. as we are based interstate.

I am kicking myself for not being an adult member, which I have been in the past.
