*My Say*

OK as one of the main culprits in the crap posting saga, I have decided to have my say, and put an end to it. I chose to make my own thread rather than post at the bottom of the other one so everyone reads it.

Alright. After reading your comments and sitting back and thinking about the threads, I can see the point being made. For me, it was amusing. I can also see how it got to be bloody annoying too!!!!!!!! I just want to make sure people (especially those of you who haven't witnessed the magic of the Lioness from day one) don't just think that crap posts is all I can do. Although I would understand if you all did.

For me, it's all about fun. I personally wasn't trying to be exclusive in any way, it just happened like that. I LOVE when other people post so I can get to know them too. Things have gotten a little out of hand of late, but for my part, I won't participate anymore..............

I like making good vibes. I am damn proud that my smile thread made so many people, well, smile. Made me feel good that people really embraced the idea. At that time, the vibes were bad. Made things good again. I hate thinking I made MORE bad vibes.

The milestone threads stay. It's an institution!!!!!!!!

But yeah, I'll just get back to ordinary posting. Look out for me, you may be pleasantly surprised. Thanks.

I thought you were a bit tougher than that, are you going to let people push you around & tell you what to do?

These threads having been going around for ages, there was one going for ages in which Darky was involved, so long ago can't remember the name of the thread, also Dan25's waste of time topic.

If you get enjoyment out of it, then do it, people don't have to open that topic if they don't want too. With all the sadness & killing in the world today, I think it is good to have a bit of light hearted entertainment.

What gives anyone the right to dictate what you discuss and with whom you discuss an a 'general topic' bulletin board, apart from the owners of that board ....

I reckon its a sad day when people think they have the right to sensor posts coz there a bit of fun and not serious enough for them ....... lioness, keep doin' your thing!

Have to disagree there Mantis...

General talk is yes, just that..general. Encompassing all issues in the "general" system.

These two/three people threads are not general talk, they are of interest to only those doing the posting. Don't read 'em you say? In principle you are right and I generally don't read them. Occasionally however I do open them and have a look; it's human nature, I'm curious and maybe, just maybe there might be a kernel of interest in there. Rarely the case though. What these topics do is push legitimately interesting threads off the main page; I generally have neither the time nor the inclination to look at pages 2,3 etc of the boards.

This is not a crack at lionness or whoever else. I simply don't like it when anybody does it. Perhaps we could create another board for the multiple posters (no I know, we don't need another board) and let them have their private chats online to their hearts content. I guarrantee though their "conversations" would be a lot shorter as I think half the attraction is knowing the rest of the big footy world could be reading their posts.

I also think chat is becoming quite juvenile as well; I wish there was an "invisible" option so that you could see who is in chat before committing yourself.

Yeah i agree with Mantis. Girly dont let people get to ya. If they dont like your work, they should get their heads read. LOL i mean seriously, anyone who knows you, knows that its all fun.....You are the Goddess of Bigfooty, and you got that mantle cos u gave it to yourself. LOL nah in all seriousness, u got it, cos u are always here to lighten up peoples days. Girly dont listen to the pikers. u just KEEP ON ROCKING!!!!! (esp in 3 weeks when u r in town. LOL )

I think the creation of the new General Talk board will be a good thing. I think this board has become too clogged with stuff of very little interest... but not to this extent. Per page, there's probably around two topics worth responding to. I have been guilty of posting topics with limited appeal.
Some people are of the opinion that BF is their personal chatroom, and that's fine; but I'm posting less and less here, and so it seems are alot of the regulars.

The quality of the General board is very poor at the moment, but I think using the other boards, where it IS possible to find something of interest. Perhaps merely because it's easier to enforce the topic on a specific board rather than on the "anything goes" General board.
