As you may have noticed I dont have a whole heap of time to post on BF just recently so rather than looking at all of these threads individually I just thought I would let you all know my thoughts. You dont have to reply, this is really just me getting stuff off my chest.

Ok first of all the season that promised so much lies in ruins. We were certainties for the top 4 almost all year and as usual we crumble in the last 6 weeks of a season and end up having to play an away elimination final. This is extremely bad considering we were looking at a top 2 spot not more than a month ago.

I wasnt happy with our performance against the filth, we tried hard but never seemed to gain control of the match. IMO we are the better side so it is disappointing to lose to them and end up been in the position we are in. Adelaide at AAMI is that position and although I bleed blue and gold, our chances this weekend are slim to none.

Our record in Adelaide is pitiful so Im not expecting victory but we are good enough and with Embley back we should go in near full strength. But if we lose and our season ends I will look back and be fairly disappointed with the season that promised so much. Sure you can say we finished higher this season than last, we made the finals, we won more away games etc etc... But after being second for most of the year and playing fantastic football for most of the year, 7th spot and an Elimination final is a huge disappointment.

But it isnt all bad. First off, this season we have turned three potential stars into absolute top line players. I am of course speaking of Gardiner, Fletcher and Embley. Gardiner is now the best ruckmen in the league and Embley and Fletcher are now top line performers who have future AA written all over them. Plus the excitement machine and future great Chris Judd has re-signed with the WCE, leaving us in a great position for the future.

But that's the future and right now we are on a knifes edge.

Well that's all I can be bothered with at the moment. I hope we can get over the top of Adelaide this weekend. Were good enough but our record there is shocking. Lucky I waited a few days to post this as it was a lot uglier on Saturday....

CARN THE EAGLES!!!!!!!!
