i couldnt care less about the money but when people say kingsley was "cheap" well he is atleast on 150k and you better beleive it

i cant beleive we didnt get him the guy is bigger than schulz already and him and jack and cleve would of been quality

5 years down the track and people will be saying gee the swans did well picking that gun up late when other clubs had no idea and thats why they are successful

first of all i'll say that im not a big fan of the drafting of kingsley either, i think it should have been used on a kid and will slow the emergence of schulz and the progress of pattison, hughes and riewoldt.

but i dont think its fair to say he only wants to play to prove geelong people wrong. let's be honest, 100% of people on this website probably dreamt of being an AFL player when we were kids and with the exception of the Rhan Hooper type -players who have god-given talent but just dont care much for the game and are only playing it because they are so good- nearly all the players in the AFL play because they love the game and had that same dream as a kid. Kingsley is one of those players, he didn't believe his time as an AFL footballer was over after Geelong grew tired of him so he seeked out another club to continue living his dream. there is no revenge involved at all he just want to continue playing football at the elite level.
i think we should just give him a chance first.

Because nobody really knew if he was 100% commited to playing footy.

He was a State side Basketballer and that was what it looked like he would do but he chose himself to go with footy, that was the main reason about him going so late in the draft.
