I know that we play Port at AAMI stadium and that if we win that match we play the winner of the Swans Hawks game at the dome. Does anyone know what happens if we lose rd 1 of the Nab cup? Do we play the loser of sydney hawks? Does anyone know who we will play if we lose first up?

I'm not 100% sure, but it is the NAB cup challenge, and all teams that fall out in the first two rounds participate, there is a format to it. Not like the days of playing practice matches against any team available.

I would think that it would coincide with the cup and the loosing teams would face off. On that, i suppose we would play the looser of the Hawks/Swans game and the winner plays the looser of round two in the cup

We wont know until after round 1 of the NAB Cup, and where the AFL schedule us to play. I would imagine that they would schedule us to play in Victoria somewhere, seeing as though we played in Adelaide in round 1.

simply we will not lose this game...................so we r playing the winner of Syd and Hawks........Port Adelaide has lost in GF by big margin........that fact is in their heads(and will stay for a while).......so I am confident we will win............OH my God I can`t wait

I reckon the hawks would be the loosest!

If the blues win rd 1, they play the winner of Haw v Syd at Telstra Dome on Sat night 23rd Feb (Ch 10).
If the blues lose Rd 1, they play the loser of Haw v Syd at either MC Labour (if Haw lose) or in SYD (if Syd lose) also on Sat Feb 23 (time TBA).

So we'll be playing Sydney in Sydney the week after playing Port in Port. Can't say I'm particularly happy with that but hopefully the AFL gives us a break and we play exclusively in Melbourne for the rest of the Challange series.

Thanks for the info.

Just hope the blues win round 1 of the NAB Cup then ! If not, if you play in SYD round 2, at least you can be pretty confident you will be in Melbourne for the last 2 games. Then again, sometimes I think the person doing the fixturing is that monkey from last year's triple M ad....

I'd be surprised if we win against Port in Adelaide when we're playing a bunch of kids instead of our senior players. Port will be out to prove themselves and at home they won't lose. And Sydney never bother with the NAB Cup so they'll definately lose to the Hawks.

Yeah the swampers will lose for sure. And you are probably right with the baggers. Lets just hope the Power put out a young team. At least they are a month behind us theoretically in training as they made the G.F and so hopefully they ease the senior players back into the pre season in rounds 3 and 4 of the NAB/Challenge series which would give the blues some chance round 1.

Not so sure i agree gandaal , port might be more interested in preparation for round 1 and play all their recruits and youngsters to see how well they account for themselves . I dont expect the Blues to win this game but i certainly wont write them off either - good thing is , at least we should be able to watch it on the tele . That said , i wont be overly dissappointed if we lose that game . Still waiting for round 1 to have a serious look at the team .

How good was it when we beat the Swans by over 100 points in the NAB cup a few years ago

Me and the old man looked across the couch at each other and thought it but refused to say it out loud: "we're back!"

Who was that little pocket rocket that got a lot of touches and ran around at 100 miles an hour. Kenny?

I reckon lose and loose as well as dining and dinning are the 2 sets of misspelled words that I see most online. Dinning isn't even a ****ing word. But I gave up proofreading forum traffic a long time ago. I didn't have any time left for posting my own stuff. And besides, the English language was officially laid to rest the day texting was introduced.
