4 - Bruce (Did some good things but nothing outstanding)
3 - Bell (Played well on Williams and gave some good run from defence. Would have gotten 4 but tried to be too fancy by hand too often)
2 - C.Johnson (Gave some good run)
1 - Brown (Ditto but less effective)
1 - Buckley (Showed some promise. Possible starter in round 1)
1 - Jones (Good start)

4 - Bruce (Class as always, will look better with McLean and TJ back)
3 - Jones (ball-magnet, drifted out of it in the 2nd half but very good)
2 - Brown (looked better in his midfield role, dangerous in front of goal also)
2 - Bell (great job on Williams, still panics with the ball though)
1 - C Johnson (got a lot of the ball and used it pretty well)
1 - Buckley (lived up to the pre-season hype, worked hard)

Chris Johnson - (3). Our best player. Nice super goal. Assured use of the ball. Underestimated him.

Brad Green - (3) Two nice goals. Will be excellent for us on the wing/HF

Nathan Brown - (2) Good consistent effort. Round 1 could be a possibility.

Cam Bruce - (2) Drifted in and out of the game. Nice mark and class goal was enough for votes.

Daniel Bell - (1) Lots off creativity, lots of desperation, lots of stuff ups. Thats Daniel Bell in a nut-shell. But I give him a vote for effort.

Nathan Jones - (1) I feel many Dee fans overated his performance last night. Brilliant 1st qtr, but was ordinary after half time. Needed help from Beamer, TJ and McLean.

Special mentions to Miller and Yze

2- Bruce (For being Cameron Bruce. I like the bloke who kept calling him "Brownlow")
2- McDonald (picked up from where he left off last year)
2- Brown (Put his heart in for the whole match)
2- Green (Solid game)
2- Ward (Great run from the backline, as unaccountable as ever but still did well)
1- Robbo (For THAT mark, he's back!!)
1- Chris Johnson (Good run, top supergoal)

Mentions to Buckley & Hughes for their intensity.

NB: Biz looked like he needed a map out there. And I thought Miller's position had been settled with his performance against Freo last year. What was he doing all day?? Oh and who else thinks Spud has a dodgy kicking action?

Chip has always had that dodgy kicking action JR, its was one of the worries when we recruited him but apparently whilst it looks ugly, its usually effective.

I was finding it really hard to get excited watching our B side run around so I spent my time watching the new guys and Frawley in particular, and I was impressed by his kicking after what I had read about him. I think he will be fine for a key defender.
